This is beautifully soft fragrance with almost creamy notes to balance the woodiness, if I could describe it as a vision I would say think of early Autumn with twigs cracking.Santal Massoïa is warm and comforting with subtle notes coming through in the dry down. This is a scent I always get compliments on - I sometimes layer this with the Hermès Musc Pallida which elevates the Sandalwood and adds to the potency.This is an Eau de Toilette and gives medium sillage and has a longevity of about 6 hours on my skin, if I use fragrance-free moisturiser (when I can be bothered and have enough time) it usually lasts for longer, I find it gently lingers on my clothes for about a week.This fragrance is from the Hermès 'haute parfumerie' range with a price point to match, ... I didn't intend to buy any perfumes today, but after smelling Santal Massoia, I couldn't resist purchasing it... This is not an ordinary one like all other Hermes scents. I usually like floral and fruity ones, but this one, though it is woody, it's very smooth and subtle with hints of fruity and some sweet, flowery scents. Overall, I like how it's giving me a mysterious vibe, and it's pretty easy wearing for everyday use.
