They turn cloudy overnight and by the time you remove them, you can see the “gunk” collected on the inside (much like those nose pore strips that used to be very popular – there's something satisfying about seeing all the gross stuff exit your skin!). I also find that these are inoffensive enough that you can get away with wearing the odd one during the day, depending on the location on your face and where you’re going/getting up to. The one on the zit on my jaw was also significantly raised / white only where the pimple was.I've since used these on my pre-teen daughter and they were great for her sensitive skin, too. I finally get a chance to try these hydrocolloid patches and see what all the hype is about.Firstly, it is extremely easy to use, just stick it on clean skin, leave them on for 6 to 8 hours and then peel them off when the patch turns white. It is supposed to gently absorb pimple gunk and supports a healing environment. I love that it works great to camouflage the redness during the day time. When that happens it usually dies down before it gets any bigger or to the pustule stage. This patch works best on stubborn and angry pimples that are more developed, have been popped and opened or on white heads. It takes all the gunk out and dries it out. So it is still good for me to have as backup for those once in a bluemoon emergency. It is also great to use when I am out and about or traveling. When I see one is developing I can pop it on to help camouflage and protect it until I get home. It would probably also work great for people who are pickers too.

I will get pimples I call "oil bombs" where it seems like it's endless clear sebum - these things suck up all of it overnight. I've also been really pleased with the results of using Hero's post-blemish balm after the patch over zits that have had blood worked into the mix or starts peeling.I have seen some low reviews and comments about not working or having to use several - these aren't magic pimple erasers, the pimple must be at the stage where the pus and sebum can exit, it and sometimes depending on the irritant, pore size, and how much sebum vs pus, it can take longer or not work. The hydrocolloid patch is meant only to absorb the gunk, protect it from external irritants while skin is irritated or broken, and help you not pick at it. It doesn't contain any other ingredients like an acid or soothing ingredients - it absorbs and protects.

I also put one on a bit of a blemish I had already picked and it seems to have healed a little faster; it's certainly not itchy like it was anyway.I had one blemish in my hairline (buzzcut, so super short hair) and I was impressed that the Hero patch stayed on all night since there was a little hair there. It still helped that blemish too! ...it did pull a little hair to pull it off so I am not sure I'll want to try one on my next eyebrow breakout lol.Finally, the reason I am for sure going to buy these in the future. I have this blemish beside my nose (and sadly didn't get a before picture. It's kind of a hard bump, more of a really dry whitehead kind of thing; not a mole, but really tough and raised and almost pointy. **TMI warning - sometimes I could squeeze a little out of it but mostly it's been there for ages and ages and it's pointy and kind of unsightly**. Since I was trying the Hero patches anyway, I stuck one on that bump too just to see what would happen. Oh. My. Goodness. It's reduced in size by a good third and is much less pointy and bumpy. I've already got another patch on it to see if I can get it to clear all the way! Also since I"m wearing it in the daytime, can confirm, they are already basically invisible, but if you put a little concealer on they vanish really well.TL:DR; I completely was ready to get up this morning and write a scathing review about scammy beauty products, but instead will be keeping these in my home forever because they work so incredibly well that I was blown away!Please note I received these patches for free via Butterly in exchange for my honest review.

The Mighty Patch stuck on really well and I ended up using 2 for 2 blemishes to protect them before going to bed. I do wish there were different sizes in the box as the patch was a bit too big for one of the spots, which lead to creasing in the patch because of the location.When I woke up and removed them, I noticed that both blemishes were reduced substantially in size, which was amazing! Unfortunately, I seemed to get a reaction on one of the areas and had a red, raised welt in the shape of the hydrocolloid patch for about 30 minutes after taking them off. This only happened in one location so it may just be a fluke and I’ll still use it in the near future before deciding if this is a deal breaker for me.Overall, a decent pimple patch and a great introduction to the brand. I’m eager to try more from the brand, including their Micropoint patches and Lightning Wand!
So this product came with perfect timing for me to be able to try it. I had a small but freshly erupted Whitehead pimple on my forehead. Usually I would pop this sucker and go on with my day, but I had my trusty patches I figured I would do things the right way and pop a patch on it and see if this worked better than putting a new hole in my face. I left it on for the requisite 6 hours that the instructions had listed, but alas when I removed it before I left the house, it had sucked up a lot of oil, but not the center of my pimple. Maybe I should have given it more time, but I had a dinner to go to so I popped it and went about my day. No one in my household noticed until I said something, aside from my 3 year old who is always about two inches from my face, and extremely observant. If I was just running errands I would have gladly kept the patch on.
