HexClad 12 inch Hybrid Stainless Steel Wok, Nonstick, Silver

Just purchased this HexClad nonstick wok not too long ago. The wok is so pretty and very well made. I’s easy to clean. Even though it’s non stick, the instruction recommends to use small amount of oil to season the wok before first use, and this hybrid wok will perform better and better overtime as it continues to season. I already cook some dishes with this wok and it’s non stick with great heat distribution. The wok is not too heavy and also not too light neither which is great. It comes with lifetime warranty from HexClad. This wok is dishwasher safe, I have not tried placing it in dishwasher yet as other wok/pots from other brands were damaged when I placed in dishwasher even they’re labeled as dishwasher safe. Bought new, received used

Purchased on sale on Walmarts deal days for a $42 discount. Upon opening, the item is definitely not new. It smells of rancid oil and there’s what looks like maybe something small was burnt in the pan (see attached), and possibly has some scrape/scratches from id guess metal utensils! Did not even wash, season, or use it, so I can’t speak to its function. The Walmart customer service was great, but they were not able to replace the pan due to the item being out of stock after the sale. Hoping they’ll honor the sale price once the item is back in stock, as promised.After speaking to customer service, I ended up trying to wash the pan in hopes maybe it was some type of film from production but it definitely isn’t going away and seems more like a burn mark.

Expensive ALL stick pan

This pan worked qell for about a month. Now everything sticks. Scrambled eggs? FORGET IT! You will be soaking, scrubbing and scrapping. Per the instructions I seasoned the pan upon receipt and continued to season from time to time. I own cast iron pans and am accustomed to seasoning. Everything sticks all the time now. Also the pan has developed a warp in the middel. I have never submerged this pan while hot or put cold liquid into it while cooking. I tried to submit a warranty claim and they came back to basically say that normal use is not covered. What a shame as I liked the design and wished that this pan worked. It's Like a More Non-Stick Version of a ScanPan

It's excellent. (I just used it a couple times, though. I will update my review in 3 months, and 1 year.) My first impression, very heavy, heats very evenly. Very nice.Be SURE to only use wood utensils!!! I tested a small patch of the outside with metal utensils and it scratched easily. So, maybe I'd take a star or two off, if I used metal utensils. However, I only ever use wood, so it's a non-issue for me;)

Manufacturing flaw and Hexclad refused to admit

The center part of the wok has non-uniform pattern and lacks the silver "hex" shape dots elsewhere has, fresh out of the box. I contacted Hexclad multiple times trying to get a replacement and they claimed it is normal and it" It appears there is some food grade oil remaining on your wok. But it didn't work. And I'm sick of contacting them everyday and waiting for the same response every next morning.I was very excited to get my dream wok but now I have no choices but returning it.They claim a lifetime warranty but be mindful whether you want to believe it.

Pan coating rubs off. Is this safe for food?

Just received the pans and washed the pans twice. Seasoned them as instructions detailed. Wiped excessive oil in pans out and the coating withing the pans leaves residue on towel. Trying to return the pans, but have not been able to make contact with hexclad. They have not responded to my emails and there customer support number says they are changing carriers and cannot respond to calls at this time. The customer is responsible for return shipping, which I am betting will cost as much as the pans did. This is a scam.

So far so good!

So far we have had this Wok for over a month and we have been really happy with it. FYI, it’s semi nonstick which we were aware of before getting it. If you use a little oil when cooking you will be fine. It’s been easy to clean. We love cooking with it. This is only our opinion. We like it so far. We use it a lot. Personally happy with our purchase. But definitely do your research and keep expectations reasonable. Every cookware is different.

The Wok of all Woks - as beautiful as it is practical!

Thank you for creating these beautiful pans and cookware for me! When we opened up the box, the wok with the glass lid and the 8” pan were tucked into cloth drawstring bags for protection. How cool! I had never used a wok before but this HexClad wok was so pretty and detailed that I had to have it. I followed the care instructions and then fried onions in this wok. Washed it by hand as I usually do. It’s too pretty to put in the dishwasher yet. LOL! I hope this wok lasts forever!

This pan is exceptional....

This pan is exceptional. I had a similar pan of another well-known "clad" brand that was my daily use pan. After three years of near daily use, it was noticeably worn and beginning to "stick". I bought the Hexclad pan after reading reviews and seeing it at Costco. I'm so impressed with it so far. I "seasoned" it as instructed, and it is performing so well, now, with my daily use. Nothing is sticking, I like that it is lighter in weight yet still distributes heat evenly, and the handle is so much more comfortable than my previous pan.

Traditional Carbon Steel Wok

This wok replaces my traditional carbon steel wok from Sur Le Table. I was skeptical about the Hexclad but my wife wanted to try it. She hates the traditional wok. Last night I used the Hexclad for the first time. I had seasoned it as described in the instructions. I stir fried some shiitake, chicken, red pepper, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots for a Thai style red curry dinner. We also just bought a new Dacor stove that has a wok ring for the 19000 btu burner. The wok was spectacular! It cooked my ingredients perfectly and was a pleasure to use. It cleaned up easy even though I let it sit overnight before cleaning. The only thing I don’t like is the rough texture on the outside.
