I had previously owned a pair of these boots and they were the best hiking boots I'd ever had - I practically lived in them. They lasted years. I wore them all over the world, so much that I literally wore the soles through. I was so impressed, it was a no-brainer to buy another pair. However, the new iteration is terrible. Comfort-wise, they feel fine at first, but after wearing them for an hour, they start to dig into the top of my foot. Durability is also not what it used to be. With only a couple of months of actual wear, the outer layer is starting to crack and peel off in random places and especially wherever the shoe bends. The soles have also started to come away from the shoe. My previous pair had Vibram soles but the new pair has Hi-Tec branded soles - obviously there's been some serious cost cutting going on and quality is the casualty. Overall, very disappointed with a brand I once loved.
Super comfortable straight out of the box, great support.
Wore these one day and a stick grazed the toe. I then noticed what appears to be a waterproof coating peeling off leaving a kind of hole in the surface exposing the leather! Obviously that's the waterproofing ruined? So, poor quality boot which is a real shame as very comfortable straight out the box. I'll be taking them back to choose something else.

A very comfortable and durable boot at a reasonable price. This is the 3rd pair I've owned over the past 15 years and they've been primarily used for hiking into fishing locations like Tasmania's western lakes and the NSW monaro streams.
