High5 Energy Source 12x47g Sachets During endurance exercise, carbohydrates are the main source of fuel that your body will use to get you over the finish line. This applies equally to anyone, whatever level they compete at, so make sure you are prepared with the High5 Energy Source 12x47g Sachets. During exercise, your body uses both carbohydrates and fat as a fuel source. However, even the very best ultra-fit athletes still use more than 90% carbohydrates. For every athlete, fat is always available but your body can only store enough carbohydrates to last for around 90 minutes. As your carbohydrate fuel tank progressively empties you lose power, making things harder and harder, until eventually, it becomes impossible to maintain the same effort; or even keep going at all. For runners this is known as 'hitting the wall', cyclists call it 'the bonk'. The good news is that you can increase the amount of carbohydrate fuel that you have stored before the event by carbo-loading and you can top up your carbohydrate fuel tank as you are competing by using Energy Drink from High5. This will keep you running for longer and make a big difference to your event performance. Carbohydrate is the name of the game. Don't let it run out!

Great taste, the tropical flavour is not sickening. The sachets are great to take away when travelling. The tubs work out cheaper to use of course.

I find these packets particularly useful when you have to organise trading days. Powders just ready to pour in once you have filed with water. Also for races abroad when you want to prepare properly….you can take your bottle with the packet I. Then mix when needed

Mild flavour but very nice to the taste, light on the stomach & helped to keep energy levels up during a recent event of six days cycling over 100km per day

In the 2.2 kg jars this is the best value. Easily miscible in bottles. Very drinkable on the run or bike. Not too sticky, unlike some. I have used this for several years and found it manageable on my delicate exercise stomach in competitions and races.
I take the High 5 energy drink both before and during long runs. Mixed with water at the recommended dosage they provide energy and hydration. I particularly like the tropical flavour.
This product does what it says it will do. It is very paletable so encourages you to hydrate more. I think you should be able to get a refill for the very large plastic pot.
Superb product. Usually use the High Five Zero but chose this product for a long weekend trail riding (120 miles). Simply brilliant and used the recovery bars as well. Will always take out on my bike from now on. NB sachets easier to take with you obviously!
It does the job. Tastes nice, gives you energy and electrolytes. It's cheap but sometimes doesn't dissolve as easy as other products on the market.
Nice flavours and very easy to use. I have used hifive for a few years now and very pleased with the taste and no stomach problems.
Refreshing - unlike some sickly sweet energy drinks - which is important in longer high intensity activity (ie time this stuff is appropriate). Trusted purity and great for hydration and energy. I think the caffeine is probably helpful even tho for the science is occasionally disputed. Good vfm compared to other quality brands.
