I run a handyman business and have a corded rotary hammer for anything requiring really big holes, or for longer jobs like ripping up tiles. What I needed was a cordless for drilling holes in brickwork and concrete from 6 mm to 16 mm and the odd bit of quick chipping work as power is not always available in some situations. Was a toss up between the Hikoki/Hitachi and the equivalent Makita as they are the only 2 brands of batteries I have. A mate has the Makita and hes very happy with it. When put side by side drilling 12 & 16mm holes, sometimes the Hitachi was quicker, sometimes the Makita had the edge but there was never much in it. Price wise though, I picked this up for 100 bucks cheaper than the best deals I could get on the Makita, so it was a no-brainer and ...
