Hill's Prescription Diet T/D Dental Care Dry Cat Food - 1.5kg
Hill's Prescription Diet Dental Care T/D Cat Food Hills Prescription Diet T/D Dental Health is specially formulated to keep your cats teeth clean and maintain good oral health.Over 70% of cats will have dental disease by the time they reach the age of three, the most common symptom noticed by owners is bad or fishy smelling breath. Dental disease begins when bacteria, food particles and saliva combine to form a substance called plaque. Plaque adheres to the surface of the tooth, including underneath the gums. If it is not removed mechanically by brushing or chewing, plaque reacts with minerals in the saliva to form a hard, yellowish material known as tartar. As the bacteria in the plaque sits underneath the gums, it creates inflammation of the gums, also known as gingivitis. Left untreated, the bacteria invade into the soft tissues and bone surrounding the tooth. The chronic inflammation from dental disease has negative effects far beyond bad breath. It can also cause damage to the heart, kidneys and liver. Dental disease is painful for your pet, and ultimately results in the loss of teeth and shortening of their life span.If you think that your pet may have dental disease, please seek Veterinary advice.

This product has been recommended for my cats by the vet. It helps to clean their teeth as they chew through each bite. It will save on costly dental bills down the road and also has a nice chicken flavour the cats loves. Love the Velcro ziplock design too as it keeps kibbles fresh once pack is opened. Much more affordable buying here than at the vet’s office.

At first my cat seemed a bit put off by this food as the kibble is pretty huge (though, that's the point). Eventually she warmed up to it and she actually really likes it now. Our kitten is interested in it as well, which is great because it looks like she may have some dental issues that'll hopefully go away with age. This stuff is SO expensive at the vets though, with a 1.5kg bag going for the price of a 3kg bag here at Pet Circle. Definitely get it online when you can.

My dear cat loves this product. It was recommended by my Vet as her teeth had signs of plaque and bad breath a few years ago. I mix half a cup of Hills prescription Diet Td Dental care Dry Cat Food with her dried food. No more problems with her teeth. My cat is six and a half years old and is very fussy with her food! I find she picks out the Dental Care dried food first! My cat loves it.

I was advised to use Hills dental biscuits for my 2 cats 2 years ago. They both had dental problems, mild to start but with the biscuits in their diet their dental health has improved greatly, with one cats teeth now very healthy.
Very disappointed as this cat loves Hills Prescription digestive i/d, but with the dental t/d he just rolls it around in his mouth and spits it out uneaten and unbitten. I've tried breaking it up a bit to encourage ingestion but he's not interested. Maybe it will work if I crumb it and add it to his food? Big waste of money for me.
We switched years ago to TD Diet Science, on vet advice, after our floof had teeth issues. Since then, our now14 yr old floof has had no teeth problems & is checked regularly. I believe, the quality of the food, if fed to your cat as directed, definitely assists to maintain excellent oral health, & keeps her weight within a healthy range.
We have fed our 14-year-old Burmilla this product for 1+ year since our vet advised she was showing early signs of dental disease. I was reassured by its longstanding VOHC certification, and my experience of the Hill's range offering high quality pet fare. Her dental health was much better on our subsequent annual vet check-up. She loves the taste. It expands a lot when wet as well, so a little goes a long way to keep her full while keeping her caloric intake under control.
I bought Royal canin TD diet for my cat as the vet recommended it. My cat is 2 yrs old and picked up a couple of bits but couldnt appear to chew it. Just spat it out again. A shame because it is expensive. I think the kibble is to big for cats.
I recently had my 12 yr old Ragdoll to the Vet for a scale and clean and 1 extraction. All in all his gums and teeth are in good condition for a Senior Cat. I attribute this to using t/d Dental Care. He likes the pellets and they do what they say.
My 14 1/2 yr old ginger lad has been on these for yonks. Had a dental recently and just needed a gentle clean and polish, no decay. Clearly these bics are doing exactly what they advertise. Mum and cat very happy thanks.
