Love this Oral Care dry food from Science Diet. Our cat likes it for taste but also seems to enjoy crunching it. I would not feed it to kittens due to the large morsel size. The morsels are produced larger than other dry foods I have seen over the years. And that’s deliberate so that your cat has to crunch it prior to swallowing. This allows dental plaque to be scraped off the teeth. We give our cat a decent amount every day.Aubuchon’s sells it at a competitive price and no shipping fees.We believe it helps keep gum disease at bay.

My cats like science diet. I love that they have oral care. Teeth are so important. Its clinically proven kibble technology to reduce plaque and tarter build up. Hills Science Diet makes far superior diet for any species you you would consider feeding their foods . Their cat foods are no exception. Their specialty diets and regular diets are prepared with dietary needs the highest concern. Each in made with veterinary I put as well I doubt very seriously you would find a good that is higher quality or better made. They make cat/feline, dog/canine, Bird/parrots, monkey/primate, rabbit/bunny, several other feeds items. You love you pets, feed them the best you can. Do your homework.

A Great Choice

This food is helping our troop of 7 in a variety of ways. Here are 4 examples. Twinkie came from a hoarding situation. She is a young rescue who has an autoimmune condition stomatitis (body rejecting teeth). For months she could only eat wet food, but with meds and time, she has graduated to kibble. She has not had to have her teeth removed, so it certainly can't be hurting. S'Mores is a senior former feral. Teddy was the most satisfying rescue of the over 500 I have trapped. He lived outside for 5 years and was heading for Rainbow Bridge when he came here a year ago. Long story made short, he was apparently caught in wire and broke all but one long tooth chewing his way out. With all teeth short (except this long one in the front), he can't easily pick up food. He heads straight for the biggest stuff in the dish. And this is it. Check out his MGM roaring pic below ! Dental kibble also makes a great treat and exercise toy. We toss them one by one and everyone runs for them. Cheaper than the vet and seems to check enough boxes that I will def be buying again.

Approved enthusiastically by my picky cat

We adopted our cat about a month ago and had yet to find dry or wet foods he consistently will eat, or even like at all. At his first vet appointment, we were told he had some gingivitis and would need to start with regular at-home dental care, including a switch to a dental kibble. The vet knew he was picky and reassured me that just brushing would be enough, but to try him on a new food as well. I'm so glad I did because my guy goes CRAZY for this food. He loves the big pieces and the flavor. It's the only food he's consistently gone for (and we've tried about 4 dry foods and 4 brands of wet food with different textures and flavors!) I hope this review helps anyone concerned if it’s tasty for their picky kitties.

Great for oral infections

My cat Faith, I adopted her about 4 months ago. She came from a hoarded situation. Anyways, Faith had really bad case of mouth infection and started to lose her front teeth. I took her to the vet and they recommended that she get dental work done. In the meantime, I am trying to find ways to help care for her while I search for affordable dental care for Faith. I came across this in Petco one day about a month ago, I thought I would give it a try. Faith’s mouth was slobbery and started to stink. Now, after a month of eating this twice a day, Faith’s mouth is looking so much better. Not only that, both of my cats enjoy this Science Diet Oral Care and also the Science Diet Hairball Control. Great treat and cleans his teeth while at it!

My new cat Olaf had a little bit of tartar starting to build up on his teeth. My Vet recommended supplementing his dinner with SD Oral Care. The idea is the bigger food makes cats chew the food rather than swallow it whole. I give it to him as his night time treat. I make him chase one piece at a time from one end of my living room to another. He gets some exercise enjoys the game and gets his mandatory snack. According to him it's mandatory! It really works!

The pieces are big, but that's part of the technology, it forces them to chew it. And now when I see smaller pieces I think how can they eat that, it is too small. Your cat can definitely handle the big pieces. 4 stars only because I haven't been using it long-term so I can't speak to if it works long-term, but I assume it does.

Stanky Breath

Just bought a bag about 1 week ago, the pieces are WAY BIGGER than i expected but my kitties are able to eat them after about 4-5 attempts to actually get it in their mouth. I decided to use them treats instead, and THEY LOVE THIS FOOD!!! i was surprised since my kitties are not the biggest chicken flavor fans. But so far everything ive given them from Hills Science Diet has not been a disappointment! Will definitely be purchasing again! It may be too earky to see huge results but i can say when my maine coon who had reallly stinky breath and the whole reason i bought this comes to give me kisses theres NO TRACE of any stanky breath whatsoever! So id definitely say this is helping her oral hygiene in one way or another!
