Easy to erect even in a difficult position. When it comes to raising and lowering the thing it’s a different matter. It is a struggle for my wife and I to do together this so we just leave it up. I just assume that one of the sliding struts is not working. Assembly for us was OK but working it wasn’t. I recommend it for the price and the speed with which it came but my recommendation is marred by the inability to easily raise and lower the clothesline.

A long wait before clothesline could be installed because we needed a concrete cutter to make holes in concrete. We had 4 bolts 55mil and had to buy 2 bolts 75m. But new bolts were different colours so ended buy 4 new bolts of matching colour. I found the instruction booklet lacking in clarity and watched videos to get better understanding. You give no indication of how many bags of concrete I would need. Bunnings said one bag per hole. But I ended up two and half bags per hole.

Went up easy. Does have some plastic parts, generally all metal (Austral make a completely metal variation apparently). Good buy though. Leaves the backyard more available for dog and garden.

This was purchased as a replacement for an ageing clothesline. It comes exactly as described and the measurements are true if you are fitting to existing mounting points. It is easy to assemble and comes with the correct hex keys. The only reason it lost a star is because it doesn't come with any screws to fix it to the wall/fence/etc. In my opinion standard mounting screws should be included, otherwise its a great product at a great price that performs it basic function well.
I will be happy with my purchase once it is up and running. Due to Covid19 I was unable to get the fixings to install. I had to wait for the box to find out once opening in the instructions what fixing I needed. Then it wasn't clear in the instructions. It said 8mm x 75mm wood screws (they are incorrect) It's a pity the fixings only 4 screws were not included in the box. I know that it could be a different application masonary, wood etc but most companies put extra screws/fixing in the box for you to use. I am waiting till Level 2 so I can go instore and get the correct fixings.
Bought about a month ago and it's been the best purchase so far. I knew it was the right size to get but underestimated the amount it line space there was for hanging up clothes - which makes it even better!!!I recommend getting somebody who has the tools or is a builder of some sorts to help as I'm neither of those and didn't want it bolted to the wall lopsided. Following the instructions to put it all together is simple and straight forward though.Even though one of the arms were faulty, I managed to swap it over and let them know which was the faulty arm and it is still a great washing line to have.Definitely recommend
Will repeat the familiar theme about mounting bolts - in the hope that Hills reads and listens!Build quality on the spreader bar was poor. The joiner that sits inside the two halves of the bar only just fitted inside. And when it was in, the two holes to take the plastic handle that covers the join were off both longitudinally (which was effectively terminal for fitting the screws) and latitudinally (basically the holes were about 2mm too far in from the end of the bars). Would not screw together under any circumstances ... trying was getting to the point of burring the screw head and in danger of stripping thread on the female ends on the joiner. Not good ...
Guys, we live off grid and so we rely on the laundromat but listen to this... we went from spending $80 weekly to *drumroll*... spending only $32 week for washing only!! Its affordable, strong and attached to the side of our tiny home and folds down efficiently. What more can ya ask for? You cant! Dont burn an $80 pocket and buy this!
We use clothesline from Hill already for 9 years in rented property.No issues at all. That's why we chose to buy new one for our own house when started construction.We haven't used it yet but I am pretty sure it will be same quality for many years.Thank you.
Decent enough clothesline for the price. The locking mechanisms on the side arms look to be durable, and a good length of line is supplied in the kit. Easily adjustable to a narrower configuration, but do observe the kitset instructions about care knocking in the front bar joiner and always measure twice and cut once. Some reviews have mentioned difficulty with identifying the RH and LH arms, but noting that the tie-offs for the lines are on the *inside* of the arms makes ID easy. The kit doesn't include wall fastenings.
