Went looking for kitten food that is NOT a grain-free food and found this one. I've always heard science diet is a good brand so I tried it. My baby girl LOVED it! Mixed it with a bit of water and dry food and she gobbled the whole thing up! Definitely recommend for kittens with food issues.

This isn’t the regular food my cats are used to. It’s just a solid mass without any juice at all or any pieces. I received the food on Friday night and tried to get both my kitten and my adult to try one can for three days. They would lick at it a little but that’s it and look at me and cry, they didn’t even finish half the can in those three days.

Hill’s was recommended from my vet for quality control. It’s pricier than some other products but it’s not as bad due to the size; I divide the wet food in thirds and give it to my kitten over 3 days. (She also has dry food at her disposal.) She seems to love this salmon flavor!
First off it is ground salmon I thought it would be in savory smaller tender whole pieces of cooked salmon. It just looks like mush in a can. My kitten seems to like it but finishes it in two parts he doesn’t eat the full can in one sitting.
This food is VERY watery - out of 5 kittens in one litter, only one would even nibble at it. Their Feral mom won’t eat it at all.
In the beginning of August, I adopted a kitten from a rescue shelter. Upon adoption the shelter let me know that they were having trouble keeping the kittens weight up. I became even more worried about his diet after the kitten had an emergency vet visit and stopped eating. After introducing at least 6 different types of wet and dry food, I finally found this product which he will eat all of and keep down. $1200 in vet and food bills later, I can finally feel at ease that we found something healthy for him that he will eat.
In the past I purchased this same product In individual cans at my local Petco. I decided to try buying by the case and having it delivered. The consistency/texture of the case food is “soupy” and not at all like the food purchased at the store. I’m not happy with it!
The Salmon flavored kitten food is much thinner than the other Science Diet kitten food. It's almost like pudding. My kitty will eat some of it but prefers his dry Science Diet over the wet. Normally he goes crazy for the wet Science Diet. I love Science Diet food, it's the only thing I give my animals. I'll be returning my remaining 21 cans of Salmon I bought for the turkey or chicken flavors he loves.
Wonderful kitten food! My rescue momma and thirteen week old kittens all love this! They’re growing strong and healthy!!
