The 'fluid motion' frame insertion is much better than my previous ROKU's as well as much smoother than the others on display next to this model in store. Im not sure if thats a result of different panel manufacturer, different software (both were ROKU's, but one was Hisense, one was Vizio, and then there was this TCL) which I always have assumed use the same OS/software, or maybe even a difference in firmware used between the brands. Also, the ability to turn this off completely when gaming combined with the selectable 'gaming/low latency mode' is something I have appreciated being available for some time now. There is a selectable option for variable refresh rate, but I have no means of testing this against the others as the only other displays in the house that have g-sync/adaptive sync/etc. are PC monitors that have much higher refresh rates to begin. In all honesty I was unaware it was even an option untill at home setting it up. Colors and contrast are slightly better than I personally would expect for a display of this size at this price, to where I feel if the contrast was to be improved alone that this would punch upwards easilyOverall, this TV is worth every penny I paid for it, and I think most would be hardpressed to find a better value outside of sales. With that being said, you could find cheaper displays (maybe?) or more accurate and saturated color along with achievable contrast, but at this price along with the other small QOL improvements, I feel most would have a hard time doing so

Classic example of best bang for the buck.

Is this TV absolutely perfect? Probably not. I could nitpick about only being a 60hz refresh rate instead of 120hz or the classic small Roku remote or the nits not being up to par with other TV's. But look at the price. This is an entry-level TV, not a mini LED, OLED or even QLED TV, just your standard 4K TV. HDR is here too, though I'm not seeing it noted on the box, check review videos for detailed specs. This is a win to me because I seen the same model Hisense TV at Walmart while shopping for this except a 50 inch size, it was $248. This is $268 at the time of this review and while going from 50 to 58 inch screen size may not sound like a big jump, trust me, you'll see it plenty enough to be worthwhile. Let's compare for a moment. The 58 inch line of TV's isn't offered by a lot of brands, so look at it this way, very similarly priced is a 55 inch TV. Now then, ask yourself, how many 55 inch TV's are out there well under $300, even after taxes, and are from well-known %26 established brands (as opposed to say store brands like ONN or Insignia)? Really, your selection for that price and size is limited. So getting something worth owning regardless of if it's a top of the line model or not just comes out as being the best bang for the buck. I'm wrong? Go find a better deal, I dare you.

I am a first time buyer of Hisense period! I bought mine from Wal-Mart in North Charleston, S.C. on Jan. 2 2024 yes this year. Yes it is already having ridiculous quality issues. So I have had the tv for less than 5 months and it started flickering and flashing when I first pressed the power button on this generic useless remote. Furthermore, I guess the flickering and such was just the beginning of things to come. Now I have vertical lines and strange color variations resembling deep sea mimic Octopus! It has also seemed to just freeze up a lot and revert to the home screen many times right in the middle of viewing various programs. I called the manufacturer and Wal-Mart and the big box retailer don't even take returns or swaps with a receipt. Talking with the Hi-sense manufacturer is even worse. They don't speak English very well at all. It's like speaking English puts me at a major disadvantage. Do yourself a favor and save the 200 plus after taxes and buy something of a higher quality or you will more than likely wish you did down the road!

I did not appreciate shipping through Walmart it was very bad. First and foremost Walmart.com said my TV was located in my local store and will be shipped next day. My TV was unfortunately not my local store and then backordered. So needless to say it was never delivered and I had to pickup up my TV five days later. Walmart.com never took the time to call, email, text, or heck write me a letter to say what issue was. I had to contact them and see why my shipping stayed stagnant on "Delivery Today" status for 3 days. Yes you know it causing missed appointments, time lost from work, and unexpected stress, all because I am waiting on a driver that is not even in route nor has my TV to even deliver. So for that reason I have to rate 1 star.As for as the Hisense brand I have had these TVs years now some with warranty some without I have never needed to even use my warranty option honestly. The picture are on a 8K scale at 4K. I say this because Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic etc etc can charge you 10x the amount of a Hisense TV and give you less features and resolution. I have owned a Toshiba TV 10 years before switching to Hisense when I brought my children a 43' for their room I had to have a big screen of the Hisense brand ever since. So save your money's people why pay $1000.00s of dollars for a TV that for only cost $300.24 total tax included to do the same and better. I am surely stuck with the Hisense brand but can careless for the Walmart.com, shipping lack of communication and aggravation. So save time and just purchase your new TVs at the store. You're going to have to pick it up there anyways. Hopefully this review helps whoever looking for an Awesome TV that's not even half the price of its big named competitors.

I bought this TV for my mom since her old Smart TV was on the way out. I figured Roku would be a less complicated interface and would require less maintenance. Visually, it's good and its performance is what I'd hoped for, even for gaming or a second PC monitor if need be. It was an easy assembly, and Roku has that solid user interface with easy setup. It does support screen mirroring, but the delay between device input and the mirroring display is not great. Also, screen mirroring requires an app on the Roku Store that ALSO requires a paid subscription. Doesn't have manual controls to operate the TV, so keep track of the included TV remote. Said remote does not have microphone nor headset support. It does not support non-Roku keyboards (USB input) except if you get a proprietary TV remote or use the Roku mobile app. It's good enough to satisfy a retiree who watches web streaming media. So I'll be content with that, but I would probably get something else for myself.

I had moved since i bought it so i thought, well maybe it was jostled during move and it had somehow been damaged. I bought the new 75 after reading some reviews. No issues and i liked it , good picture, sound was great, but almost exactly 6 months later the screen died. I registered the product the day i bought it through the Hisense registration process in their manual. It required me to send in a pic of the receipt at the time, which they could not find when it came to scheduling the repair so i had to supply it again. Luckily i take a photo of every purchase receipt of this nature so i could supply it, but if you don't have the receipt, i would suspect you would be on the hook for the repair as I asked the customer service person why i had to upload the receipt and then produce it again and he told me i didn't register the TV. Add that to less than stellar and borderline hostile service interaction and the inconvenience of waiting for a technician to maybe repair my unit. I will not be buying anything that they produce again.

The only complaint i have is that the cord does not separate from the body of the TV. All the TCL cords are removable. this is great if just the cord needs to be replaced, or if you need to move the TV around, it’s not in the way.As the rest of the TCLs in my house die, i’ll probably replace them with all Hisense brands. They are both ā€œbottom barrelā€ and budget friendly TVS but Hisense out performs the other on a few important features, being able to actually hear what i’m watching being the biggest factor. Will purchase again.

Poorly packaged.

Like nearly everyone else’s, mine came cracked. There’s a foam frame screen side with no protection except for under an inch of air. The side could easily be pushed in without visible external damage. The hard plastic back of the TV has over two inches of air between its electronics bulge and the box (closer to four by the back of the screen housing). That’s a completely backwards packaging design! The glass of the screen appeared intact, but the lighted panels were smashed behind it, so the issue wasn’t detected until the device was assembled, installed, and powered. As for the TV design itself, the electronic eye for accepting commands from the remote is curiously placed in a bump on the bottom requiring a wall mount or the ridiculous enclosed feet. Honestly, it seems more stable without the feet. Also, the electronic eye placement looks like it would interfere with the addition of a soundbar, not that I got a chance to review onboard speaker quality.I had this delivered due to the size, and it took 3 agents to finally figure out it was never going to fit in my compact car for return. Walmart wasn’t going to issue a call label, then they were, then they weren’t again.

Terrible!!! Invest In A Different TV!!!
5 August 2024

Let me start with from the beginning I noticed problems with the sound it was way quieter than what it was supposed to be. Second I noticed problems with the screen and display within the first few months of owning it and I probably should’ve just replaced it or contacted someone but then my display started flashing black and white super fast which affected my boyfriend who has epilepsy but the it went out completely and it won’t turn on. I’ve had it less than two years and had several problems! I had a different Hisense tv that has lasted over 5 years works better and sounds better with only two small lines through it after time which I get for that amount of time. I don’t understand why the older one lasted longer. I bought this one because I wanted a smart tv ...Ā MoreLet me start with from the beginning I noticed problems with the sound it was way quieter than what it was supposed to be. I don’t understand why the older one lasted longer. I bought this one because I wanted a smart tv slightly bigger but now it’s broken and I just got a new job while having to search for a new place to live and trying to replace my car because mine broke down and can’t be fixed and I don’t have money to replace it honestly so upset. Tried contacting Hisense support too and absolutely no luck. So disappointed at this point save your money invest in a different one!!!!
