Purchased in July22. First thing I noticed when unpacking the unit was just how dusty the front and back of the unit was despite it being brand new. I have this setup stacked on top of a 10kg Hisense washing machine with an anti vibration mat in between. The unit comes with swappable feet for stacking which I used and stacking brackets and screws. I chose not to use the brackets as I didn’t want to drill holes into the washing machine. Despite the overall depth being about 4cm deeper than my washing machine, the feet sit within the dimensions of the washer so it’s stable and doesn’t move or wobble when in use or when the washing machine is in use. I have actually found the washing machine is more quiet and stable during high spin cycles with the dryer sitting on top. On first setup I did encounter a problem with the dryer door. It simply wouldn’t shut so something was wrong with the latch mechanism. I was able to play around with it and correct the alignment with my fingers and a screw driver but this should have been checked before it left the factory or it happened during shipping. After 2 weeks of use I have dried towels, bed sheets and general laundry. I tend to use the auto sensing function which automatically adjusts the drying time based on moisture inside the drum. On average I can dry a load of laundry in 1 to 1.5 hours. The unit does feature reverse spin but with bed sheets this still causes it to roll up into a ball. I need to pause the cycle every 10 mins to give them a shake to loosen. The first drying load takes longer while the unit heats up. Once it’s warm inside the dryer, subsequent loads dry much quicker. The unit has a 3 stage lint filtration system and I wash and clean the first two after each use. The final filter which protects the heat exchanger I simply vacuum on occasion. Operating noise is much quieter than a vented dryer. The sound gif zips hitting the drum or glass are louder than the motor. Overall other than the issue with the misaligned door latch I am happy with the performance of the unit. Drying times are not much longer than vented dryers. The benefits of the heat pump are its lower energy usage and that there is no moisture or lint getting blown into your laundry. The unit does emit a little bit of heat so best to keep a door or window slightly open to ensure good ventilation into the laundry. Comes with standard Hisense 3 year warranty but too early to comment on this. Hope the unit last a good couple of years. If your in the market for a heat pump dryer at a reasonable price this is a good unit to consider if you can get stock.
I have used this dryer constantly since purchasing about 6 weeks ago. I really love that there is no condensation left on any walls in the room and that it has an 8 start rating for electricity usage. No need to feel guilty about using it if it looks overcast.
Had to be returned because of faulty door. Bing Lee were very good. Have replaced with another brand
Working as expected so far. 3 year warranty is a comfort. A real life-saver in this recent Sydney weather.
