I bought this fridge a year ago. It was never really that cold. I eventually got a fridge thermometer and the fridge runs at 8 degrees and the freezer -10. That’s on coldest settings. Contacted Hisense as under warranty and a month later they are still giving me the run around. Would not recommend

Purchased this fridge in November. It does what it advertises it does. Keeps things cold in the fridge and keeps things colder in the freezer. We have kept the fridge set on the medium setting and have not had any issues with freshness of veggies in the crisper or crispness of beers on the door.Freezer is on the medium setting which freezes ice in a few hours and keeps ice cream at a decent softnessMotor VERY quiet and you can hardly tell it’s running most of the time. It survived a few 40c plus days and still running strong.10/10 well worth the money.

I thought the first one was just a lemon until I replaced it with another one and oh no! Same thing! Fridge does NOT get cold! it struggles to even get to 8 without anything in it or not being opened. On the coldest setting winter or summer! The design and features are great just what I wanted, but that’s useless when it won’t keep food cold. Not good when you live rural! .Also! Hisense won’t send a serviceman around and hisense prefer to simply replace at your return! It seems rather strange to be complaining about a new fridge that you simply want to be working as a fridge.Very Stressful and won’t do it again! The rep on the hisense phone however was a very good communicator and nice to talk too!Thank you!

Pros: No good points as refrigerators should not have been sent to DarwinCons: After 2 (two) of these refrigerators being delivered to my home and both of them with major problems with their doors not closing ie the rubber seals were stuffed ie not allowing the door to have a seal to enable the refrigerator to cool down and stay cool. Both were returned to place of purchase (Darwin). I had to throw out $100 worth of food and Hisense would not even accept my phone calls. Each time I called them I was put on hold and after 3/4 hrs they disconnected my calls.
Yes a good fridge, is silent!Though when you order, I was a bit disappointed, I called up Harvey Norman to confirm they do deliver and take away the old fridge and I ticked the box but then the driver when he brought the fridge said only delivery... so I had to scrounge for cash to ask him to take the other fridge away... the driver was nice but it’s something Harvey Norman should sort out because trying to find cash first thing in the morning is a bit of a headache! I’ve ordered fridges frim other stores and it’s very clear they take the old fridge away and yes ticked the right boxes there!
I was sceptical when I bought this fridge, but the repairman that came to (unsuccessfully) fix our previous 5 year old Kelvinator recommended Hisense. He said, “All brands break down. I see them everyday. They’re built to a price point and that means you’re going to get some failing in the first week. What you want is good customer service. Some of the top known brands are shocking in this regard, but Hisense is pretty good and you can’t go past the 3 year warranty (most are only 2 now).”The fridge runs well. It’s not the quietest, but it’s not intrusive. The temp as set by the delivery guys is half way and the fridge temp is 5 degees and the freezer -10. That’s in a warm kitchen coming into summer. Also, according to the repairman, a top freezer fridge will ... MoreI was sceptical when I bought this fridge, but the repairman that came to (unsuccessfully) fix our previous 5 year old Kelvinator recommended Hisense. He said, “All brands break down. That’s in a warm kitchen coming into summer. Also, according to the repairman, a top freezer fridge will generally have less issues than a bottom freezer one as the cold air just falls down into the fridge and doesn’t have to be pumped up there (that’s what failed on our previous one).
A great fridge - so quiet which was on a list of 'must have' qualities. Love the glass shelves and the easy to use flip ice tray. More than enough room for 2 people or a small family. Easy to clean with the frost free technology. Harvey Norman staff & delivery were great. Very helpful in store help and delivery. 3 star energy rating is also another great feature and the 3 year warranty which we purchased an extra 2 means that we should easily get at leat 5 years on this fridge and hopefully many more after that.
Pros: I love this fridge. As a poor person starting out it's the BEST AND EVEN IF YOU HAVE MONEY. It will give you exactly what you need for years before you 'decide' to upgrade to a better brand but i would keep it. Great space and layout. Ideal.Cons: Door does need that extra check when closing but that's just minor and it becomes a habit
Pros: Makes great use of the space it has, good quality shelving and nicely adjustable.Cons: The ice trays are TERRIBLE. Small thing, I know, but they infuriate me.It runs a little loudly, but you get used to it quite quickly. I would say that the air circulation is not that great - things in the door aren't as chilled as the rest of the fridge and I've had to crank the chill factor up pretty high to get it cold enough everywhere to make me happy.Overall though, good fridge for the price!
The internal design of the fridge is good. It's a great size for one to two people. The top shelve has enough space to fit a nice size water jug. All of the fittings in the fridge are made from good quality plastic. The only thing about the layout of the fridge I would change is the size of the bottom shelve on the door. Ideally this would be large enough for a 2 litre water jug.The freezer is good but the built in ice cube tray is a bit plasticky and only makes very small ice cubes. I've taken to using regular plastic ice cube trays.Ideally the fridge would be a fraction colder. The water jug I mentioned above is 4.1 degrees with the fridge on the coldest possible setting. It would be good if it was under 4 degrees. The fridges good used of space was what ... MoreThe internal design of the fridge is good. It's a great size for one to two people.
