This unit is freezing up terribly. A few days after purchase, I received an orange exclamation point "alert" icon. Called support, and they told me to restart the fridge. Did that, and the issue went away then came back after a couple of days. Ever since then it has started accumulating frost in the back. Now, it's gotten terrible. I've had to remove all my beverages and let it thaw and will reconnect it once all the ice has thawed. The fan itself has even accumulated ice and made a grinding noise while spinning because the ice made it uneven. I feel like I wasted $500 on this unit which is only a couple of months old and is defective. I'll be calling support again to see how they plan to handle this. The wine cooler is decently sized and well-priced, which is what I was looking for. Sadly, the screw holes for the handle attachment were on the wrong side of the door! Now I’m unable to attach the handle to the wine door at all. This is a nightmare and seems to be a recurring issue with many of the posted reviews. I’ve tried emailing and contacting Hisense’s customer service, but have not received a response. The thought of having to lug a 120lb wine cooler by myself back to Lowes because of this factory defect is so frustrating—because I literally can’t without breaking my back. Hisense really needs better quality control of its products. The customer experience is horrible.

So far so good on this unit. It seems like a very good value. It looks nice and the price is very attractive. I bought it to replace a $2500 Marvel fridge and this seems a way better value. The Marvel is sturdier does seem to be a nicer/better built unit, but since I'm putting it under a bar, tucked in a corner, where no one sees it, I don't really need those aspect. Plus, I kind of like the fact that this one is lighter. It also has excellent internal lighting, where I can see everything inside the fridge which is tucked in a dark corner. I also like the shelving layout--I set it up for 2 narrow drawers of wine, 1 tall space for beer bottles and one midsize space for cans. I replaced a wine fridge with this Hisense beverage fridge. I required a fridge that cooled down to 34F as I want to keep beer, Champagne, Proseco and white wine extra cold as well as Kambutca and other beverages. This fridge delievers at at reasonable price. The height also fit under my granite counter. Many others that cooled to 34F were too tall. Mine was mfg in 6/2022. Mine is quiet. I inspected the carton for obvious signs of damage before wheeling it out of Lowes. It was in perfect condition. I reversed the swing of the door, time consuming but simple. When I removed the bottom vent grill, a rectangular piece of plastic fell out. It is a filler for a space in the grill created when the hinge was moved to the left. When I removed the bottom vent grill, a rectangular piece of plastic fell out. It is a filler for a space in the grill created when the hinge was moved to the left. This must be a recent change as it was not mentioned in the instructions or illustrations so beware. The 1.5" slotted filler piece slides onto the grill. I also like the automatic light shut off. The only change I would suggest is that instead of clear glass, the door should be tinted.
I could not be happier! I had another popular name brand beverage center that finally died after 12 years so replacing it with something comparable was a necessity. I was looking for quality at a more affordable price than my original and I found it! I did my research on everything out there but I had a few must haves. Since mine is built into existing cabinets I had to have the exact measurements to fit perfectly and this one is a bit wider and taller than most-so perfect. I wanted to again have the glass shelves...check! And I also wanted stainless steel with modern handle check check! Not that familiar with Hisense brand but asked around and took a chance-so far quality product. Keeping my beverages at a chilly 39 degrees which is perfect. Install requires 2 ... Not that familiar with Hisense brand but asked around and took a chance-so far quality product. Keeping my beverages at a chilly 39 degrees which is perfect. Install requires 2 people but I did it by myself and it was easy. I did however leave it upright 24 hours before installation which I believe was recommended. Light comes on automatically when door is open then goes off after door is closed. Alarm too if not closed properly. LED readouts easy to see and use. Only improvement I can suggest is that the screws for the handle are a bit short and easily dropped. I lost 2 in the frame of the door never to be found again, but they give you 4 so it did work out-maybe that’s why you get extra? All in all I am so pleased with this beverage center. I did manage to get it on sale so it was affordable. The look is fantastic too!
I purchased 2 of these for a bar I am having built in my back yard. I bought them when my contractor started the build so he could make sure of size and spacing for the units. Well we finally got to the point were we could unpack them and install. We plug them in, they power up.... and one of them will not cool at all. I contact Hi-sense they send a service tech. The service tech states they dont repair these small units, and the large units they have nothing but bad experiences with. I re-contact Hi-sense stating that the first company did not fix anything and now they have me back in line for another service visit. Dont waste your money with these. Buy the GE or other name brand for a few mre dollars.
This might be a great beverage cooler if I could get one that wasn't damaged and it wasn't such a nightmare dealing with Lowes and Hisense....or actually Hisense wouldn't "deal" with me. After having 2 coolers delivered that were damaged and had to return...I got the 3rd one delivered and yep, damaged...however, on this one since it wasn't an absolute disaster (glass in door shattered, compressor not working) I decided to keep this one as the damage is that the front of the shelves are messed up (in shipping) and the inside frame of the door has holes/splits in the plastic (from the shelves in shipping). I called Hisense hoping that they would just work with me and send me a replacement door instead of making me send it back to Lowes. Nope...they said I had to take ... It has been an absolute nightmare so I decided to keep the 3rd one with the damage since it was so difficult to get back to the store. However, I will avoid any further purchases with Hisense or Lowes due to the fact that this has been a nightmare and I've got a $450+ damaged piece of merchandise.
I love the look, but there are a few big misses in the design.1. There is no auto closing cam2. The magnetic door seal is to weak, and bounces back open3. The door alarm is way too quiet4. The adjustment feet are only on the front and not long enough. Fully extended on a level floor doesn't raise the front enough to get the door to shut. Nor is the extension enough to raise the door to match cabinet door height. You end up with a two inch gap under your countertop .I had to add an additional magnet door hold-close under the door because i couldn't train my wife or kids to press the door shut. It's crazy how easily it bounces open.
I thought this would be a winner based on how good my Hisense dehumidifier has been, but this thing has serious QC issues all around and I would never recommend it. (I should have trusted the previous reviews). That being said I'll be surprised if this review even shows up on Lowe's site as they tend to restrict bad reviews - anyways you can see the picture for yourself - this is the inside of the door just trying to get the handle on and you can see how well they drilled, a complete mess and I had to go to the hardware store to get some screws and washers that would actually work and be able to attach the handle. There's also design issues ... the small screws holding the magnet on the bottom of the door are rounded-heads and prevent the door from getting a good ... There's also design issues ... the small screws holding the magnet on the bottom of the door are rounded-heads and prevent the door from getting a good seal. I also had to replace these with some actual flat/low-profile screws. There are other holes on the door under the seal I had to fill with electrician's putty - again this should be sealed or they should provide some type of plugs from the factory - you don't want air moving through the door at all. The tape on the control board wasn't pressed down and the control panel was coming off from the factory. Ridiculous, but returning it to just to get another derpy product seemed like an even bigger headache at this thing is neither small nor light. The only See the picture for yourself. I would recommend implementing these fixes/changes above if you own this already.
Purchased this under cabinet fridge a month ago and installed. The handle on mine matched the holes in the door perfectly and had no problem mounting the handle. Sure the inside is plastic but complete stainless is very expensive and I can buy three of these for one of those. I didn't need to switch the door swing. The light comes on when you open the door as I had no need for the interior accent lighting that is always on as some brands have. The size lets you fit it into a 24 inch wide space with the 1/4 inch clearance on each side as the instructions state. The height is also perfect for the standard 34-1/2 inch high cabinets and gives the required 1/2 inch top clearance. Leveling legs are on the front and lets you set it just a bit higher, slightly off plumb, in the front as the instructions state to ensure the door self closes and stays closed. After the install, the power was turned on and I didn't even hear it running and had to check to make sure it was running. All was good and it's very quiet. I set the temp to its lowest setting of 34'F. Checked it after a few hours with a laser thermometer and the top read 30'F and the bottom was 34'F. The manual does state that there can be a 4'F temperature difference from top to bottom. So I set the thermostat to 38'F and beverages are very cold but not frozen. It's been running for a month now, still very quiet, keeping everything cold, and looks great. Time will tell but I hope it lasts many years.
