Hisense HRVF155 155L Upright Freezer

Great not to have to defrost it. 3 middle drawers of a good size. Top shelf has a sloping roof which is an odd shape so limits its use and bottom drawer has less depth which also limits its use. But both top shelf and bottom drawer are workable by using for smaller items. All drawers and shelf have a clear front which is good for seeing contents. Drawers seem well made and robust. Overall size dimensions are good for us in that it fits into a corner in our kitchen. It is however a bit smaller in litres and taller than our old one due to design (and probably current regulations). It is working as it should. We are happy with it, it was the only vertical freezer that suited our needs and space, choice was very limited.

Don't buy it for the alarm

Great size, great price. Part of my reason for buying this brand and model was it had a door alarm. This 'alarm' is borderline false advertising. A light flashes inside the door - so if you can see that you already know the door is open. It also beeps 3 times. You can't hear the beep unless you are less than 1 metre away from the freezer in which case you would know the door was open. I'm still glad I got this freezer but be aware - there really is no alarm.

Garage Freezer

I bought this freezer to replace my old 120L upright freezer that I kept in the garage. I use it to store the stuff that won't fit in the Fridge freezer in the kitchen. So far I am impressed with the freezer. When running, it is very quiet. It holds the temperature well and has plenty of storage space. It is narrower than my old one which is not ideal. I also find that you lose a little space because it has drawers instead of shelves. Despite this, it is very functional and easy to use. Hopefully it will last 20+ years like my old one did.

Good sized freezer

Initially when we unpacked the freezer it had been damaged. The Good Guys replaced it with another one. They were very apologetic and went out of their way to help us. It is a convenient size for and additional freezer. We have a chest freezer and everything you want is always at the bottom. We use this freezer in conjunction with the chest freezer. The glass drawers allows for easy identification of what's in the freezer. It is also quite every efficient.

Great freezer

Ample storage with drawers & a top flap shelf. Perfect size for our laundry corner as this is a back up freezer. It's super quiet, so much so that I had to check it was working & on originally it was so quiet. Great reversible door option. Only thing missing was a light when door is opened. If you're using it in a dark room or at night you'll need to switch on the main lights to find anything but as it's not the main freezer it's fine. So far so good. No complaints. Great service from The Good Guys & delivery guys as always.

We needed more freezing capacity than our refrigerators could provide

Quite difficult to find an upright freezer with drawers but found it in The Good guys store. Chest freezers for an old person are hopeless as when reaching to the bottom. could easily topple in!!!. The 5 drawers were large enough to cope with extra frozen food . My only concern is that the plastic doors in each drawer seem very flimsy and could easily break if tugging an item out which has frozen to the floor of the drawer Overall very happy with it as it fulfilled our needs at a reasonable price.

Works beautifully and takes up little space

The draws keep everything organised which give us easy access to all the foods. Placed this in my new laundry tucked away beside a tall storage cupboard. Discreet and great access as it doesnt take up much floor space. It's frost free function is an added bonus. Great value for money and I can't thank the Nunawading Good Guys enough for their great customer service! Delivery was done with ease and appreciated the texts before arrival. Thank you Good Guys!

Works great and is quiet, but ours has a damaged door and cabinet.

We had a 550km round trip to pick this up with another item. I noticed a small ding in the carton when it was bought out, partner didn't see it, as it was on the staff side. Got it home and unloaded and it's had quite a knock on the corner from something. Not only that the front door has an indent and lower door abrasion which looks like factory damage as there's nothing on the carton to suggest it from freight. Other than the externals it works great, it isn't constantly running, and is quiet when it does. The temp is adjustable. Door seals are strong. See through drawers are quite handy, but they are a little flimsy in operation as they aren't in tracks or on rollers. Works well in our summer heat, but was damaged in 3 places.

Has been working fine in our 35 degree summer heat, since mid December. Nice and quiet. Not icing the products up. Draws are a bit flimsy in use, hence the 4 stars, but see through is great. We live 300km from Tamworth Store, so placed online order and drove there and back in a day. I noticed the carton was damaged on one of the edges when it was being loaded, but as the loading dock was so busy and we needed to get going to get back home, I didn't hassle about it. Upon opening the carton, the freezer has had a very hard knock on the damaged corner. There's also a decent ding in the top of the front door where no carton damage is obvious, and the same for some type of abrasion at the bottom. There is no corner protection foam on these products. Obviously disappointed. Do Hisense send factory 2nds out here to this market Tamworth indicated they would arrange a replacement when I wrote to them the next day. The unit sat for weeks not used as we were told by one of the female staff not to use it. We waited and waited. I got my partner to contact them about using this one, until the replacement comes, this was over 3 weeks later, they gave approval. Our most recent correspondence regarding getting the replacement was completely ignored. We also bought a washing machine on the same trip. Seems we are out of sight and out of mind and maybe they think we will just give up How they can do this to a customer beats me.
