The box is plain white and the product itself comes in a frosted glass bottle with a white cap. It's really sleek and looks expensive and not over the top. It is deep, deep pigmented purple and does not foam in the mouth (the product does state that this product is not a replacement for your usual toothpaste). The gel lathers well, with a mild minty taste that is not unpleasant. However it does discolour the area around your mouth, you can see the violet hue on your gums and tongue, just something to be aware of. First time using the V34 gel, the yellow tone is nominally less visible. Couple or so days later, tone is slightly neutralised and stains subtly concealed. After further use, teeth appear fairly less yellow in tone, and any minor staining almost negligible. The formula is effective but gentle enough for my moderately sensitive gums, with no residue. I received this product from Superdrug as a member of the Community and I was excited to give the HiSmile V34 Colour Corrector Serum a try! On my immediate inspection of the product, I noticed, much like the Pap+ whitening strips, the product felt luxurious and professional. I put two pumps onto my usual toothbrush, as advised and continued to brush for two minutes. I was careful to not get it too much around my lips as I have seen it can leave minor staining. As careful as I was, when brushing, it did manage to splatter on my bathroom wall and leave some nice stains though. The consistency is thick, it really did make me think of purple shampoo to begin with. It didn’t get overly foamy in my mouth but that wasn’t a massive issue for me. It’s flavour is mild but minty, I feel like there is a bit of a weird aftertaste but I can’t put my finger on it nor was it overly off putting. When finished, I rinsed my mouth and just went around my teeth with a damp toothbrush as some blue lingered between my teeth. Did I see an immediate improvement like the ad’s claim? Absolutely not. It was okay, I had just used the whitening strips so my teeth felt overall brighter. I know it’s not to replace normal toothpaste but they also felt smoother and cleaner. I have to say, I was left feeling a little disappointed. I will continue to use this product until it has finished and I’m intrigued to see if it will have any lasting effects but on initial usage, its performance isn’t the greatest. The brightened effect lasted a couple hours, if that before I noticed my teeth just looked ‘normal’ again. Pros of this product? It’s got a luxurious feel to it, it’s vegan & cruelty free and it did give me some minor brightening. If you had an event or going on a night out, this might be a nice addition to your get-ready routine to give your teeth a nice little brightened boost. Would I repurchase this item? No, I’m afraid not. Whilst it did brighten my teeth ever so slightly, I don’t think this price is justified by the product / results which is sad. I think if you’ve had work done to your teeth and they’re already nearly perfect white, this will be great for you as it’ll be easier to keep on top of. But if you’re like me, with very average teeth, never had whitening done professionally etc, I wouldn’t expect amazing results.

The packaging of the hi smile whitening strips is very clinical and that would probably suggest to me that it is a strong, well performing product if I was to pick it up in a shop. The product tasted just like a regular toothpaste so there was no nasty surprise or unpleasantness. It was very sticky to begin with when pumping it out of the tube and reminded me of purple shampoo. The serum applied nicely and felt fine on my teeth with no uncomfortable sensation and I brushed per instructions gently for 2 minutes with a soft toothbrush. Hi smile is 100% cruelty free and vegan every time! How did it perform? There was some slight staining to the corners of my mouth; luckily it was before I went to bed. I did notice a very slight change in the colour of my teeth after the very first use; especially the 2 front ones which I was happy with. I would expect this initial result due to purple being the opposite to yellow on the colour wheel. I feel like the product did perform well and would enhance someones smile that already has good teeth with minor stains. Would I purchase this product again? I would have to say no. Unfortunately, for me the results just aren’t quite enough to justify the cost of the product.

There is no feeling of irritation, gums do not bleed. Just a pleasure to use. Does V34 Colour Corrector actually work? The V34 Color Corrector does work to temporarily make teeth look whiter and brighter. It doesn't actually erase stains, and it's not meant to. Use it with a whitening kit if you want to whiten teeth. Also, this product can be used as a brightening booster in addition to your normal toothpaste. I am very pleased with the results, because my teeth are definitely brighter.
