The light should be able to be turned off, or automatically turn off like a drill, to conserve battery life, as the tool sometimes sits for a while between trim cutting and fit-ups. This is not a compact tool, but reasonably well ballanced, so handles fairly well. These tools will evolve into smaller and lighter, but for now the large size is easily offset by not being leashed to a hose. This is a positive move from a pneumatic.

I am using this to make furniture and end tables etc from pallets and ultimately learn how to do crown molding for my mom. She is updating her living room and dining room and I'd like to help her once and awhil. Plus it helps me when I need to keep busy.This tool is perfect because I can use the 1 1/4" and even the 2 1/2 in the same line. I just have to be careful and aware so I know when they are coming next. I'm not sure if other people use it like that but I know for me it works when I am working with different thicknesses of wood.

I like the fact that this is a 15 gauge gun instead of the common 16 gauge, however with that said I have had at least 4 misfires since I have purchased the unit. I have only been using it for about a month now, and mainly building small signs and boxes out of old pallets for our country wedding this June. This is my first nail gun, so I dont really have anything to compare it to. Other than that it is very straight forward in its operation, loading procedure, and has cut my construction time down by 70 - 80%.

Originally purchased a RIDGID 2 1/2 In. Angled Finish Nailer (15 Gauge), Model # R250AFA per the recommendation of the sales associate but after getting it home found the product to be defective. Returned it & exchanged it for this finishing nailer.Got this nailer home & was able to knock out my project in no time. Very smooth, comfortable & reliable nailer. Shoots 2" nails into Pine, Redwood & Fir with ease. Depth adjustment & bump firing easy to use. 5 year warranty. Would definately recommend this nailer.
This nailer came new in the box and included a case. I have not used the nailer I purchased yet, but it appears to be in working order. My father-in-law has this nailer and I have used it on countless home improvement/remodeling projects. The weight and balance of the nailer make it a breeze to use. I have not had any issues with jams or misfeeds. The features and durability of his nailer led me to purchase my own.
Purchased as an open box model. Not a scratch on this nailer. Card board box had a rip but nailer is enclosed in a plastic hard case so it was untouched. Worked great right out of the box. Depth adjustment is effortless. Installed crown molding with this nailer. Was able to get in corners easily. Haven't had any misfires or jams yet. Excellent product and shipping was quick.
I purchased this in a compressor / finish nailer combo to use around the house and on my rentals. I am very happy with the overall quality for the price. I used both the nailer and the brad nailer on some cabinet work made of oak. It had no problem and never jammed or miss fired, as I had read in some reviews. Growing up in the cabinet business I have used commercial grade finish nailers. I would not recommend for heavy day to day use, but for personal use very happy. Oil daily before use as recommended
After buying recon tools from CPO (approx 30 orders) over the past 5 years that look like new. Finally received one that looks like its bounced around in the back of a contractor's truck for a year or so. It works.....thats about all I can say.... and I guess that's all its supposed to do. We'll see how long it lasts. If I had it to do over again would spend the extra for new.
Great 15 gauge nailer. I definitely want the strength of 15 gauge nails for hanging doors and installing exterior trim. This nailer does the job perfectly and I know I can count on it. It will be easy to service and to find replacement parts for.
I bought this to compliment my brad nailer. Something extra was needed when completing my walk-in closet shoe rack and shelving. During our recent remodel, the contractors were using Hitachi framing nailers. They appeared to be rugged and dependable.My shelves have turned out great. A finishing nailer saves a lot of time during assembly.It would be great if a sample pack of various nails was included.
