As others have mentioned, you do have to size up a full size, at least from Cliftons. I sized up 1.5 sizes from my Cliftons, and the base of the 1.5 size bigger Bondi SR is almost the same size.As others have mentioned, this shoe is really stiff out of the box. Two toes got really bruised from going down hills on day one in these since they're so stiff. The uppers do loosen up. After using these shoes for 2 straight weeks in the rain, I switched back to my old Cliftons today and it was like when I first fell in love with Hoka's - light and airy, and as a result, my times were 1 minute less per mile. I hadn't realized there had been such a significant impact of this heavier shoe.So the bottom line is that this shoe does what it says in terms of being slip resistant, so great for exercise in the rain. As long as you size up and break them in, they're mostly comfortable. You do have to be careful of uneven terrain, and when it's dry out, I won't be using these.

The Bondi SR has firm maximum cushion and excellent arch support. The shoe is not as bouncy has the Adidas Ultraboost nor the New Balance X More v4. I usually wear a 13 regular, but on this shoe I needed a wide. Maybe it's the orthotics or the leather, but, after exchanging for the wide size I was in Heaven. The shoes fit extremely comfortable with absolutely no unwanted pressure or rubbing. The regular size rubbed on the outside of my heels. I love the rocking motion when one walks and the feel is just easy comfort. I put the shoes on and went for a 5 mile walk with absolutely no discomfort.
