Always a big fan of hikers, these work

My first look at the hiker series. A different feel than my typical Cliftons but expected as these are off road shoes. Good fit and finish as well as traction when hiking. Very pleased. Love the color too.

Best Shoe I've Found!

This is my third pair- fifth if you count owning two pair of the Kia Sky's predecessor, the Tarn series. By far, the best hiking shoe I've found for high arches. I wear themWhen standing on concrete surfaces as well as backpacking. The outcome is virtually little or no recovery time. Do be aware that the plush platform that makes the Kia Sky the most comfortable shoe I've found, does wear out quicker than other non-EVA/PU platforms. The Vibram lugs do tend to extend wear.

Color is off and Fit don't match other Hoka shoes

I was a commercial photographer, and I understand how color pictures can vary and translate to the internet...These are much lighter in color. They are closer to a light sand or off white than to the tan represented in the pictures....Too much variance from the actual picture. I've ordered many other pairs of Hoka's, and the fit is off too. The size I purchased is what I always purchase from HOKA....it's off by at least half a size if not 1 whole size. I still love the look of these shoes...they just don't look and feel like my other HOKA's.If I remember correctly, these were listed as "Plush" cushioning...not even close to my other plush Hoka's. Overall, they just missed the mark on this one.

Comfortable but takes some time to break in
24 April 2021

Love the thick sole, as standard for hokas. I can walk around in these shoes with no issues - the bottom of my feet don't cramp at all (even after 5 hours of walking around the city in these) and I have a lot of support. The only thing I would be cautious of is that the fit of the top portion of the shoes will need some breaking in. I realized with these shoes, that my left foot is slightly bigger/raised than my right, so my left foot needed some time getting used to the shoe, buy my right foot fits perfectly. I love the color way as well. Overall, one of the most comfortable sneakers I have. Would recommend for those with flat, wide feet and stand around for their jobs/do a lot of walking.

Great for PNW trail walking/running
7 April 2021

I had been looking for a long time for a sneaker type shoe that keeps my feet dry and that I could both walk and run in with my dog. Every day we hike a 2.5 mile trail, round trip, by the river and the path is sandy, rocky, and grassy at different points. Also, it rains a lot here in the winter but not heavy enough that it's pouring so these shoes are perfect. I also like the color and style- I got the light gray ones. I give 4 instead of 5 stars though because, it took me two returns to figure out that they RUN LARGE. I measured my foot according to the size chart and ordered a size 8. This was huge on my foot. I then exchanged for a 7.5 and this was still way too big. I could fit a whole finger in the back behind my heel. Finally I got the 7 and that fits ... MoreI had been looking for a long time for a sneaker type shoe that keeps my feet dry and that I could both walk and run in with my dog. My other issue that I think could be improved is the material and design of the fabric part in the back of the heel. I have to lace these shoes very tight even though they fit well, to avoid having that feeling of my heel lifting up and down in the shoe. Also, that fabric part is not even water resistant in any way and gets wet and sandy easily, which makes no sense if you're going to make a goretex shoe. So it's not perfect, but it's the best thing I've found so far that also looks cool so, it works for me.

I haven't taken them off!
23 April 2021

I started wearing Hokas a couple years ago after too much foot/knee/back pain as a young nurse with other shoe brands. I have the Bondi 6 for work, Cliftons for running, and now these beauties for everything else!! I've been wanting a light colored supportive everyday shoe and when the variant white collection dropped I knew it was the time to splurge. These are worth every cent! Sooo comfortable and sturdy but still light. Pretty on trend right now too. Didn't need any time to break in, though I've been wearing these pretty much everyday. Haven't yet tried a hike in them so I'm excited for that! I wear a 6.5 in my other Hokas and am usually a 6-6.5 in other shoes. The 6.5 in these is perfect and true to size.

Not bad, but not great.
5 March 2024

I bought this shoe because it was the closest looking shoe to my old HOKA Tor LOW which I've been wearing for everything. The newer Tor Low is not practical or attractive as a hiking shoe. This shoe the Kaha Low GTX is reasonably attractive in this dark color and has a dark sole color which is much more useful and practical for hiking in dirt, mud, rock, gravel, sand. The light color sole shoes are NOT appropriate for real hiking. I found this shoe slipped on my heel despite being the proper size. i also found the sole a little inflexible and I felt like I could feel bumps under the sole for some reason. I returned...not quite right.

Opinion on hold pending upcoming hiking trip
16 April 2024

I will soon be hiking in the Alps and wanted a shoe that holds up to inclement weather, has a grip and is comfortable to walking and/or hiking. I've warn the shoe a couple of times while walking the neighborhood (3 miles each walk ). I found the shoe fits and feels fine, with one exception. I am used to plushness of my Bondi walking shoes. The Kaha Low GTX isn't very plush. The heel/toe step-down feels hard. I won't be able to give a recommendation - one way or the other - until I've warn them on a hiking trail.

Shoe is marked wrong size, ordered 11M got 12W/11M=13M
3 November 2024

Hoka has the completely wrong sizing for this shoe! There is no way it can be a 11M/12W! It fit like a 13M, not the 11M I ordered. Wow in what world can a 12W fit a smaller narrower foot. Hoka, please look at this a correct the web listing for this and any similarly sized shoe so consumers get what they ordered not a shoe two sized too big.

This is my fourth pair in one year!
2 October 2024

I just received my third and fourth pair of Hoka's this past week. I'm am a proud owner of the best shoes I've ever worn. The comfort, style and quality are unmatched with these shoes. I have balance issues and back pain normally, but the Hoka's help me with stability and balance. They are the best looking shoes out there!
