First pair I purchased, the sizing is way too large. I’m a definite US 8, EUR 39. I didn’t check measurements ( my mistake). When delivered I noticed on the box 8B. Not stated on website. I quickly tried on one shoe and realised the 8 is more a 9. Thankfully, My Deal were fast in replying and accepting a return. They were actually very easy to deal with.I requested a size down, 7.5 ( 7B on box). I actually checked the measurements this time which stated a EUR 39.When delivered, which was very timely, I tried on immediately and the first thing that struck me was how narrow the shoe part itself is. And with this pair, the left shoe is a few centimetres more narrow than the right. Very visible to the naked eye. The sole is wide and bilaterally even with each shoe, ... There is absolutely no arch support. It’s like running on cardboard. The design is catchy and the colours attractive which makes it more of a shame they couldn’t put more effort into the ergonomics of the shoe design.I have wide feet and high arches so have been recommended on the Hoka brand and am very disappointed in obvious sweat shop made shoes. Paying a small fortune for such a reputable brand, to have twice been disappointed is such a let down.I am too embarrassed to contact and return again and will now be counting my losses.Shame on you Hoka for producing such rubbish and taking peoples hard earned money. Definitely will not buy Hoka again.!!

My daughter has wanted a pair of these for awhile, we ordered her the nimbus cloud style. Shipping was super fast! They arrived the next day! She is a distance runner, I feel these will be perfect and comfortable for her to run in! They are good looking shoes too! She wears a 7.5 normally (we both do). The Hoka 7.5 were almost an inch too big! Don't know if maybe it was a accident at the warehouse when being made but they were was noticeably too big. I called to exchange for a 6.5 (they didn't have a size 7 in stock) tweens are very impatient lol so we went ahead and opted for the 6.5. I'm in high hopes that the 6.5 will fit fine seeing as how big the 7.5 was on us both. Customer service was prompt and very helpful! I would definitely recommend Hoka to anyone!

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. I was given a pair of older Hokas from a friend and finally decided to invest in a new pair. These were my pick, I wanted ones that were a bit more low profile and not wildly colored. Although these are a running shoe I wanted them for walking and everyday wear. One of the first days wearing them I took them on vacation to Ashville, NC where I toured the Biltmore and downtown for a weekend. I put in over 30,000 steps and my feet and legs didn’t hurt one bit. These have now become my workout, long walk, part time work shoe. I will be buying another pair. Also, some people avoid light colors due to staining but I did a treatment with Crep when I first bought these and they still look great!

I read that the Kawanas were a blend of stability and cushion and I believe that to be true. If you want more cushion go with the Bondi 8 Hokas or for more stability go with the Arahi Hokas. These have been my first choice out of my sneaker collection for comfort reliability. I wore these on a Disney trip and they were great. They are just of course a bit pricey but like all good quality shoes, you get what you pay for.
I wanted to try a pair of HOKAs after hearing lots of hype from runners. My intention is to wear them at work where I walk (but not run) many km’s a day. This shoe has a very strong rocking feeling which made me feel at first like I was wearing flippers. Also it has a very wide midsole which I think was lending into my tendency to invert my foot. I put my orthotics in and they feel much better now. This shoe definitely has an impact and alters your gait, whether that is good or bad will depend on your foot/ running type I think! Best to try this on before purchasing. Unfortunately Altitude sports return policy isn’t the best for this.
I needed a decent pair of court shoes for pickleball but I was not so sure if the Kawana model would work for the purpose. (Unfortunately, Hoka doesn't have a line for tennis, badminton or pickleball.) The result was amazing. It worked much better than I expected. I feel so free, comfortable and stable in them which I never felt in other court shoes. The only problem with Hoka is that you can't wear any other brand shoes once you wear Hoka!
Great shoes! Got a great deal on these Hokas and they were authenticated! Peace of mind right there that I was paying for quality original product
I use the trainers for a daily walk, approx 1mile per day, mainly on tarmaced paths. Would definitely recommend. Followed the advice on the website and sized up by 1/2 a size. Fitted well. Very comfortable due to cushioning under foot yet supportive. I had been having heel pain, which has improved since wearing these trainers. I don't know how they will fare in wet conditions as the upper is made of a relatively thin nylon fabric, which seems less substantial than my other trainers. I would buy this brand again.
I have developed joint and hip pain. I knew I had to find a shoe that would help relieve some of that pain, if at all possible. I tried on every Hoka, in my size, that was in the store. I walked around with two shoes that felt great on my feet. Stayed in the store for at least an hour trying to decide between the two. The Clifton 9 and the Kawana. There were 2 Shoe Stations close to each other. The Kawana in a 9.5, in the 1st store, was just a tad smaller than I felt would feel better, but the overall comfort of of the shoe sold me. I decided to go to the other store and see if they had a size 10 for me to try on in the Kawana. They didn't! I'm hoping as time passes, I will continue to see hip pain improvement. While in the second store, I saw the Brooks shoe and just wanted to try a pair on. I had NEVER tried on a Hoka or a Brooks shoe ever before. When I slipped my foot into the Brooks the shoe did feel good on my foot, BUT as I walked around for a couple of mins., my hip began to hurt. I couldn't believe a shoe would truly make that much difference so quickly. I immediately put back on the Hoka Kawana, and the hip pain began to subside...I was blown away!I am over the moon for my Hoka Kawana shoe!! I do HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOKA!Thank you, HOKA, for these wonderful shoe products!!
I hate to leave a bad review, but I’m just generally disappointed with these Hokas :/ . I will wear these on walks or just out and about and they’re fine, but for a running shoe, I hate running in them. They are good for about the first half a mile, then I just feel my feet throbbing after that. I thought it was me at first, but then I did the same run w/ my other hokas and my on’s and it was definitely the shoe. They have a firm sole, which some people like, but it is not for me. I felt like I was running in converse or something. All of my other hokas have been delightful to run in, these ones I just gave up on my run in. My feet were in SO much pain. I tried them for road running and treadmill and I was just so disappointed every time. I can’t say I’d buy them ...
