I bought this as the y shaped splitters didn’t look suitable above a timer.It appears to work, though the ball valve handles only just clear the fittings beneath them.The brass hose fitting is useless, the hose popped straight off twice (using hose that has never done this before).It’s fine, I’ll keep it. But I’d try a different one before I bought another.

The "All Metal Construction" was expected to ensure long-lasting use. A plastic part within failed and the lever popped off on second use. The main connector also leaks. Similar to previous customer reviews below. The manufacturer is aware of the issues. Surprised it hasn't been withdrawn from sale.

Thought the brass would be the sturdiest but it leaks and sprays where it connects to the tap no matter how tight I got it. I also bought a plastic one from pope just in case and no spray/leaks with the plastic. Sticking with the $5 plastic one for now.
Purchased this 2 way hose connector approx 12 months ago and it started to leak after a few months. It gets worse and worse. Do not recommend this product.
Useless. Water sprayed from where the tap attachment met the horizontal bit. It might work for the 20mm fitting, but for the 25mm it was useless. Immediately returned.
I have bought this product never kept receipt. Didn’t think a metal fitting would burst 2 month after buying it. Never again would I purchase this product. Never been damaged in any way since tap it was installed on is undercover. Very disappointed
Broke in less than 2 weeks, during the day while I was away and water ran everywhere for a couple of hours.Reminded me of why I stopped buying this model a few years ago, as the same thing happened previously. The previous one lasted for a few months, and did not snap off suddenly, but was still poor quality.I would not call the die cast metal "high quality".
Due to the right angle design of the splitter and the valves reducing the pipe size significantly (despite the outlet sizes being decent) the 2 way outlet will reduce your water flow and pressure at the hose end. Just a shame they reduced the internal diameter to accommodate the two on/off valves. This is probably fine if you are only using the splitter for standard garden hose applications where a reduction in flow and pressure doesn't matter too much. But if you are wanting to use this for sprinklers in different zones in your garden expect to see a drop in throw distance.
I bought this to replace a cheaper, plastic, version which restricted water flow. This seems well made and sturdy. On my set-up, it does not appear to impede water flow (I have it fitted to a Gardena Twin Tap Adaptor). It seems well made, looks good and works well.
