Honey Stinger Gold Energy Gel 24 pckts

This is a great product for people like me who try to eat whole foods and avoid refined carbohydrates. For me, Gold is the only source of food energy during a marathon that I can eat quickly and easily, without gagging or developing stomach pain, and that is apparently free of refined carbohydrates. I have been using a very specific amount of Gold gels, salt tablets, and water exclusively in all of my marathons and ultras for almost a year now and have seen big improvements in my performance, thanks in part to this nutrition strategy. My only hope is that Honey Stinger keeps this product the same and doesn't add more ingredients. The more simple, the better, in my opinion.

I used these on my marathon today and they rocked! I have a sensitive stomach and the honey stinger gels didn't give me a belly ache at all. They are very sweet, taste mostly like honey. I read that they were difficult to open, but I didn't have any problems. Super portable. They have the most natural ingredients of any gel I've found. I like these much better than the other products, shot blocks, and hammer gel. My new go to for fueling.

Economical and Great Neutral Flavor

I used to use Maurten gels exclusively, mostly because I wanted a gel without an intense artificial flavor - but the original Honey Stinger gels are a great economical choice for a gel with a natural flavor. I’ve been fueling all my long runs with them, and they don’t require chasing with water.

Great Product!

I have always liked Honey Stinger products and never could keep a gel down until having this! The easiest gel ever if you like honey! Used them consistently with the other flavors to complete my first ultra and 100 miler!

Honey Stinger Energy Gel

Good energy gel, have been using Honey Stinger for about a year. Use on long runs (8 miles or more), easy to use.Bought the ones sold and shipped by Walmart and it got here super fast! Arrived the next day after I ordered it.If you like honey, give it a try. It should work well for you.

I just keep going back to this stuff

I discovered the Honey Stinger Original Gel a few years back in a desperate search for a gel that did not contain anything to which I am allergic. The original gel, being just honey, salt, and some B vitamins, proved to be an effective, albeit messy way to fuel long runs. Over the years, more products have come around that do not contain any allergens but none work quite as well for me as this product. Simple, whole ingredients do the trick. I would give it an entire five stars except that it can be a bit messy to work with. But hey, it's honey, waddaya want?

Liquid Gold

I absolutely love this product! If you’re like me and prefer to keep it natural this is the product for you. It’s a perfect blend of Honey electrolytes and B vitamins giving plenty of energy mid ride. 10/10 will buy again.

My favorite gels

I have tried many gels and these are my favorite by far. I tried most of the Honey Stinger flavors and the Gold is a clear winner for me. The consistency is not too thick like most gels which allows me to take them without immediately wanting water. This is great during a marathon when I have a rough idea of where the water stations are, but don't want to do the work to time it perfectly. In big races congestion at water stations can be high, so I don't like trying to get in a gel and grab a water when I come up to one. These also have a high amount of carbs per volume (24g per 31g packet). I take 6 during a full marathon at 5,10,15,20,25, and 30K and usually maintain energy through the finish. Another tip is not to consume anything within 2 hours of the race start.

Nothing beats the Gold!

These are definitely my favorite energy gels to use. They have a great taste and no water is needed! Perfect for the longer runs when you need to add a little energy to sustain. I've tried others, but nothing is as smooth and natural tasting as the Honey Stinger Gold!

Tastes Like Honey

I love these gels. They taste like honey. They aren’t too thick. And they don’t give me GI issues. An added bonus is that they aren’t as expensive as some of the other gels I like.
