Hoover Smartwash Pet Automatic Carpet Cleaner

i am so greatful i came across this product it is friggin amazing how its restored my carpet to the purchased and installed carpet, im i love with this so from me to you thankyou so much for thinking of pet owners as i have a puppy so mistakes happen, but it has removed heavy traffic area dirt, i was amazed how much dirt it dragged out of the carpet and was almost dry, no moisture smell the next day like my old crappy carpet shampoo,, great job, and thankyou for making my life easier and happier..

no instructions in the box.. they where on the box. no screwdriver required(a plus for me!). easy to use once played with a bit..(at first it wasn't picking the water up even going both directions with it). it's easy to clean even has a spot to take off cover for brushes again no screwdriver required. just press the release lever.

Honestly, I would recommend the Bissell over this one. I ended up getting rid of all my carpet, so I only had this for two years. With young kids, I needed this. I did notice that water would drip around the belt, when I would lift this up too quickly to change out the water. I read reviews of others having their belts break. After you turn off the vacuum, you need to be patient and wait for it to fully stop before removing the reservoir. Also, Bissell liquid carpet cleaner worker better.

I got my carpet cleaner over a week ago and knew I needed to use it to make sure it worked within 30 days. So after a busy day Monday decided I had better do it. It took more time preparing than it did actually using it. Had to move everything possible off the floor and vacuum. Then ran the cleaner in the master bedroom and had a bad spot in a smaller bedroom so went from the door into the room to the spot. Had a large carpet scrap that I had at the foot of the bed so laid it out in the living room and did it too. Loved it!!!!! Very simple. A 12 oz bottle of shampoo came with the unit so I poured the entire bottle into the cleaner container. Filled the clean water tank with warm water. When you pull it backward, it sucks the water out of the carpet. Easy to use – was done in 30 min. However, it also says to rinse the carpet. The rental machines suck the water out of the carpet but don't rinse it. I've always thought it was leaving dirty shampoo in the carpet. So now I KNOW it was leaving dirty shampoo in the carpet. To rinse, I just removed the shampoo bottle and it dispensed the clean water then extracted the water. I emptied the dirty water tank once when using the shampoo, then again once when rinsing. Then I removed the clean water tank and dried the carpet. There is a dry button that I pushed and it continued to extract water from the carpet – going both forward and backward. Then emptied the dirty water tank a third time after drying the carpet. So at this point I was through and took it into the bathroom to clean the unit. It came apart very easily. Good instructions but really weren't needed as easy as it was. Very easy cleanup. So....I am delighted but exhausted!!!! We have pets. We have carpet. Not a great combo. But, this cleaner rocks. It is about 100x easier than any cleaner I’ve had in the past. It is not super heavy, nor gross to clean out. I cannot believe how much dirt it is removing! Bleh. It is almost as easy as vacuuming. Push forward and it applies solution, pull back and it removes it. It has a dry only cycle that can be used at the end that helps remove a lot of the residual moisture. Seriously- if you need a carpet cleaner, check this one out!

We got this after our new puppy peed one too many times on our carpet. It’s a game changer. Within minutes, the spot can be cleaned up and dried. Easy to use and gets the job done.

A year ago I was contemplating renting a carpet cleaner, but I felt like I wouldn’t get as much done as I wanted for the cost, and who knows what the last person cleaned! I didn’t want to feel rushed to clean all the things I wanted to do in one day, and with 3 kids and a dog, that list is long. 😳 I really enjoy carpet cleaning now, which is such an odd thing to say. My absolute favorite feature of this carpet cleaner is the heater built in and how quickly your carpets dry after cleaning them. Carpet cleaning is work, but this makes it easier. I have used this on my couch, area rugs, and kitchen rugs and it has performed perfectly. Only one thing holds me back from giving this 5-stars and it’s how the roller bar sometimes throws water (small splatters) when pulling back on the carpet cleaner. Not a big deal if you remember to wipe off doors and walls afterwards. Also to note, this did not work very well on my shag rug, but to be honest it was past it’s prime anyway.

I love this shampooer! It gets the job done and I love the drying option to help speed up the process! Super easy to take apart and clean, it does have some weight to it though. Only down fall about it is the attachment that I can hook up too it to so stairs and other things don't work. Other than that super easy machine!

So this is my third or 4th carpet cleaner and I am in love. First of all the installation is like 3 simple steps if that. Second it has a detachable automatic spot treatment gun that ypu shoot at stains. Third it does the wash and dry for you all you do is push it up and back down!! Whole simple!!!! Also I love that separate container for the carpet cleaner and how simple it is to fill the water tank and clean the device once you are done!! It was worth the extra money!

I absolutely love this carpet cleaner. It detects when you push it forward, it’s on “wash” and when you pull it back towards you, it automatically switches to dry. It works so good and is easy to clean.
