Easy to assemble, basic but fun for a 5 year old

This was a Christmas present for our nearly 5 year old great grandson. He’d had several other Hot Wheels sets and I believe they can all link up. We also gave him a pack of extra cars. It was easy to assemble and quite simple. He was certainly enjoying testing it out.Like all toys now though it seemed very overpriced for a few bits of plastic and a few little cars. But our great grandson was happy.

Fantastic product for the money

Bought this for my 4 year old grandson as a treat for completing his star chart.Absolutely over the moon with it and has'nt stopped playing with it since!! Love the way it rolls up and has extra storage for his cars, ideal for taking on visits etc...Well worth tge money and is ideal as a starter for more Matchbox stuff....Now he wants more track lol

Fun Go Anywhere Toy!

Fun multifunctional toy - great for home play or take it with you where ever you go! This toy opens up into a race track for not 2 but 5 hotwheel sized cars! We used both hot wheels and other same sized Disney CARS movie racers and they all worked great. There are numbers that fold down as the cars go through the finish line - yes, no more guessing which car is the winner ... first to go through is displayed on the overhead sign at the finish line. This was a clear favorite feature for my kids! My twin 4 year old boy and girl played with this toy at least 2 hours everyday since we opened it up 3 days ago! They had so much fun that my 9 year old son soon joined in and agreed it was a fab toy. He was able to fit about 50 cars inside and we brought them along with us for portable all day play! That was my favorite feature ... kids had fun and I was able to get all the errands taken care off without any complaints from the kid crew! It is made of sturdy plastic that is easy to clean and most importantly, safe to use for little fingers (no little fingers got caught rolling up the track etc). The Hot Wheels Roll Out Raceway Track Set is overall a fun, portable, take anywhere toy that also cleans up nice - thumbs up from the kids and mom! Thanks Mattel!

Fun Hot Wheels toy

This is a really fun toy for kids to race their hot wheel cars on. It has the same orange track that most hot wheel tracks come with. It's really easy to unroll the track as well as rolling it back up. There is a stopper so that you can take your time putting the cars on the top. There is a button you push that moves the stopper and then the cars can race. At the bottom are five numbers. As each car gets to the bottom that number flicks up so you know exactly which car won the race.

Good idea but just ok

This is a great idea, but needs some work. When "rolled up," the case holds a ton of cars, which is great. The problem is you can't really see anything and if the one your son/daughter wants is on the bottom, you have to dump all of them out to get it. But in reality this is a storage bin, so it's not that big of a deal.The racetrack is actually pretty fun and the kids had fun using it, but the numbers on the 2-3-4 tracks needed some adjusting before they would flip up like they are supposed to. Then my 4 year old decided he wanted to take them all apart, and they are held in place by rubber bands which can easily get lost. Overall this is fun and my sons are enjoying it, but it could be improved.

Great racing set!

This is a great, compact racing set that can be played with completely by itself or can be connected to additional track.The built in race starting lever ensures a fair start every time and the winner flag leaves no doubt or room for arguments. Just unroll and race! Cleanup is super easy as well, with the track rolling up and the entire set becoming the storage container. The fact that the built in track rolls up and becomes the container is genius. Keep in mind that while the container holds 80 cars, they just sit loose inside the container like a bucket. There also is not a lid so you don't want to store this on its side or where it can roll around.

Handy racetrack

Gave this toy to my grandsons who are car mad. They really enjoyed it as they can set it up by themselves where normally an adult would have to assist. This toy is very well made, colourful and sturdy, it has a good sized carring handle and a large storage space for carring extra cars. The boys really liked that it shows which car won the race and we liked that it stopped all the arguements about who won and who was cheating.This toy has a couple of downsides, itis advertised for children aged 4--10 yrs we found that our 10yr old found it too babyish as the track is quite short and he likes a more action track, I think it would suit children aged 3-6 yrs more. As a life long motorsports participant, official, writer, and Historian, I am particularly interested in collecting all kinds of toy and model racing cars. Having seen the real Supermodifieds in action several times, of course I had to have the Hot Wheels version! The car is well modeled for being a toy, and not badly detailed for being in such a small scale. Beyond that, it runs well on the typical Hot Wheels track having a very low center of gravity as does the real thing. Taller cars tend to roll over on the banked turns unless they are going VERY fast. The Supermodified handles them with ease at all speeds. Launching it is another matter. The Booster doesn't grab the car's sides equally, so a good launch is often erratic. Use this one with a ramp like a Pinewood Derby Car and it's a gem.

SCAMMED!!

First off a receipt from H-E-B was shipped in with the hotwheels set. Upon looking at this receipt i found out I've been charged double what the product is worth!! I paid 50.99$ thinking that was the normal price bit NO it sure wasn't!! This seller clearly bought 2 of these hotwheels sets from H-E-B for ONLY 24.98$ each!!! I'm a single mom trying to get her kids a couple gifts for Christmas! To find out something like this is devastating! i could certainly use that 24.98$ extra they charged me on another gift! I will be attaching pictures of the product and receipt with this review! I would like to see half my money back!
