This product was gifted by Hourglass. I have pretty bad dark circles and some fine lines around my eyes in addition to some current & past breakouts. Basically I need my concealer to put in the work because there's a lot to conceal on my face. This concealer is one of the best that I've tried out of the many, many concealers I've used. It covers really well with a very thin layer and a little bit goes a long way. It's easy to put to much thinking you're applying a typical concealer and next thing you know you're blending it all over your face because it goes so far. That's not a bad thing though because it looks amazing on the skin. I have definitely applied under my eyes and then blended out over most of my face and used it as a light foundation to even out my skin ... MoreThis product was gifted by Hourglass. It's very brightening on my which is nice because my dark circles and discoloration could use it plus my skin has uneven tone and this just makes me look very well rested. It sets down nice as well and doesn't stay feeling tacky or greasy. I typically very lightly set my under eyes and then just keep the rest of it natural so that it looks more skin like and I love the effect it gives. The applicator is great too and doesn't bring out too much of the product per dip.

I purchased the larger size for concealing originally and really loved it but I prefer a more matte concealer to avoid mascara transfer. Medium to full coverage and is Very creamy and hydrating. I saw they had minis and purchased the color “teak” to contour on a whim and I quickly ordered the full size. If you’re more medium tan olive in complexion (think tawny in double wear or nc30-nc40 in mac) the color teak is fantastic for contouring. It blends out beautifully and does not go on patchy because it’s covers so well. A small amount is needed, I like to blend it out with a beauty blender. I also picked up the color “brandy and that one is slightly more reddish brown but not orange in tone. Teak has a little more yellow. I go between the two depending on the look ... Excellent shade match. I've been using drugstore concealers lately which have served their purpose, but drugstore brands tend to have inferior shade matches. I got this because I like Hourglass shade ranges.I found it easy to get medium full coverage with this concealer to cover my acne/dark spots. However, it doesn't wear as well under my oil-based moisturizers and other skincare products and breaks up/creases more than my NYX or MUFE concealer. It also looks terrible as undereye concealer- I don't really have undereye wrinkles and it still didn't wear well. But I do think it's a good option for areas without wrinkles if your skin isn't super oily. Or too dry. I guess normal skin would be the best fit for this concealer. Overall, it looks really good when you ... MoreExcellent shade match. I recently received the Vanish Airbrush Concealer. I am always looking for a concealer particularly for my under eye area which is dark and has a prominent vein under the left eye. I try to balance the concealer not being too light (where it doesn’t at all camouflage) and being too dark (where it doesn’t “brighten up” the under eye area or just looks like an awkward shade which doesn’t match the rest of my face). This is particularly tricky online when colors don’t necessary reflect the in-person shade. There is a “how to find your shade” section to assist in choosing your concealer shade, so I used this. Honestly, I didn’t know if the shade recommended would be best, but upon receiving it and trying it, it’s quite good. With just a dab, it did a nice job of ... Honestly, I didn’t know if the shade recommended would be best, but upon receiving it and trying it, it’s quite good. With just a dab, it did a nice job of blurring my prominent vein, while also blending nicely with my skin tone of the rest of my face. It dries fairly quickly which I prefer, so I can get my makeup done quicker. I make sure to moisturize the area (which I typically do anyway) to help it not feel dry or encourage creasing. Overall, I’m quite happy with this concealer.
I was gifted by Hourglass, the Vanish Airbrush Concealer in the shade Birch 1.0. This shade is fair with neutral undertones. This hydrating concealer has a beautiful undertone, skin-true shade, and really helps hide dark circles, blemishes, and redness. It does not look or feel heavy and blends seamlessly, while hiding my under eye darkness. It is full coverage, weightless, and waterproof. It is so lightweight with such a buildable coverage with a natural airbrushed finish. It works well with my foundation. You can swipe or dot this concealer depending on how you want to use it. It helps cover small blemishes as well as cover redness or any unevenness. I had no creasing at all as the formula is so hydrating! I then use my clean finger to blend out this creamy, ... I use Cotton on my face (I only use concealer for a base) and Fawn to cover the dark circles under my eyes.If you have dry skin or just certain dry areas on your face, this isn't for you. This concealer clings to, and emphasises, dry areas and also emphasises the lines under my eyes. It looks good, and natural, upon application, but not so much by the end of the day. This concealer also claims to be full coverage, but I disagree because if I get a blemish it takes many layers to cover it up. On the rest of my face though, I only need very little product.Wondering whether the concealer transfers or not? It does. If I accidentally rub my nose just a little, I have to do a touch-up. You should've seen the collar on my black winter jacket; it was horribly stained, but ... You should've seen the collar on my black winter jacket; it was horribly stained, but fortunately it came off when I washed it.Lastly, I'm not one to care about packaging, but there's a lot of wastage because when you put the wand back into the tube, product is pushed out and ends up around the opening.
In the world of concealers, this is supposed to be a game-changer: And I so desperately wanted the Hourglass Vanish concealer to be that for me.I’ve battled Walking Dead-like under eye circles my entire life — spending the equivalent of a small nation’s GDP on concealers over the years. My current lurve is Shape Tape, prior to that it was Sisley’s and before that the infamous bank account buster from Clé de Peau. I admit that my wandering eye is always on the look out for the next best thing. But upon using this, my giddy optimism was quickly replaced with confusion, as there was no discernible difference between it and your average drug store concealer. None. The coverage wasn’t any better and neither was the crease-factor. How could so many people be wrong?? So ... The coverage wasn’t any better and neither was the crease-factor. How could so many people be wrong?? So I tried various application methods: fingers, brushes, beauty blenders…on top of varying combos of primers/moisturizers. I finally had to admit that maybe I had fallen for the hype machine’s tactics and return it…and for reference, I never return anything cause I’m lazy. But I had to right this wrong.Hourglass has so many unique and beautifully refined products…but this isn’t one of them. It just ain’t.
I first bought this in birch but it was far too light for me, it's almost white. This surprised me as I'm so fair, I'm usually the palest in every brand. Anyway, I then bought Creme, which is a far better match and I may get Cotton for when my skin is slightly warmer coloured in the summer. On initial application I thought Creme was also going to be too light, but on drying down it blended in fine. I found it easy to blend with a brush, and I find it best to use a small amount and add as required, as it's a lot thicker than I expected. I'm very dry under my eyes so I never expect any concealer to not settle into lines, but this did it less so than I expected. I, going to try some different primers to see if I can improve the result. I'd say it's medium coverage, I'm ... MoreI first bought this in birch but it was far too light for me, it's almost white. I am a woman in her 50s I’ve been having a hard time finding cosmetics that works with my changing skin. Concealer has been a hard one to find that works for me. Went out on a limb and purchased I believe I found the holy Grail. This one works for me. NoCreasing. Keeps my eyeshadow in place. And more importantly, it doesn’t look thick or heavy on my skin. It just enhances it. One flaw hard to find a color match. I went through three different shades to find something similar. I had to go lighter, which was fine as I use it to highlight as well would like to see more color options nothing too orangey. Because who has orange skin?
OK, I have tried probably 30 different concealers at this point, from drugstore to high-end, & never have I found one that I immediately thought "I hope they never stop making this stuff"! In fact, I'm fuming because it's SO GOOD but so expensive! But I will have to repurchase it! I do plan to try a darker shade like Cedar or Apricot so I can get an exact match to my foundation shade, but for now I've got the shade Silk & it gives a beautiful, lit-from-within brightening effect to my undereye. As I approach 40, I've definitely got fine lines and this stuff does not accentuate them at all - it totally blurs them! It's long wearing, not drying, & crease-proof. Seriously, skip spending the money searching for the perfect concealer and just get this one! I wish I could ...
