Hourglass - Vanish Blush Stick

What can I say, I’ve always been in love with cream products. Whether it be, foundation, highlighter, bronzer or blush, nothing gives my makeup more longevity than layering a cream underneath a powder product. Plus I love using this red blush, underneath any neutral or warm-tones blush. The intense red shade adds warmth to practically any blush color while giving you longer lasting makeup in the process. On very little to non-makeup days I love using it on its own for that instantaneous natural flush. The packaging it a beautiful gold mirror finish; the kind that shows fingerprints instantly. I have been using it almost non stop since I purchased it almost two months ago, and cannot believe how I have lived without this long. I also love adding just a tad to my lips on the days when I don’t necessarily want to go full glam, but need just a little something that can do the job quickly and efficiently and still look like I spent an hour getting ready. Perfect for summertime. I’m enjoying “Revel” of course with any makeup product I’m addicted to, I want to collect all shades available, that way I’m set and ready for any makeup look that I need to accomplish. Amazing

I’ve held off on trying these for ages as the price put me off until now. Then tried a couple of colours during the 20% make-up promotion and OMG - I’m in love! These are the best cream blushes I’ve ever tried. The format makes them so easy to work with - just swipe on and blend with a finger or brush. They’re the perfect combination of being really pigmented, yet easy to blend, so somehow you never end up with too much on just a natural, gorgeous flush of colour. The finish is a soft matte with a hint of radiance but nothing too shiny at all. I think the colours have been really well thought out too. My favourites are Devoted and Loyal - the dusky pink and rosewood brown. Absolutely gorgeous! Blends well

I’ve been using the ambient lighting powder blusher for years and fancied a change from it. I have combination skin but this isn’t too creamy at all. In fact it feels almost similar to a powder when applied. It’s light and creamy and blends amazingly well into the skin. I use it on top of foundation then finish with the hourglass setting powder. I got the shade devoted and it’s the perfect ‘natural’ looking colour (not too pink or too coral) I think in general I find the powders to be ‘less faff’ but I’m glad I tried this all the same.

Changed My Mind!!!!!

Initially I said this product was a hit or miss and that some might like it and some wont. Then I said I liked it. I don't like having misleading opinions out there so I am writing another review now that I've changed my mind. The only good thing about this is that the colour was perfect for my skin tone and undertone. Gave me the perfect flushed look. But it's difficult to blend, doesn't really settle into your skin, and disappears within an hour (because it either fades OR smears on anything your face comes in contact with). I tried mixing it with an 8 hour lipstick and putting setting spray on top. Nothing makes it stay. For this price you shouldn't have to try so hard to make it work. Excellent Formula, Needs More Color Options

I bought this in shade Devoted, and it’s really beautiful. The formula isn’t super creamy, which I found helpful in terms of it not eating away at my foundation underneath as I blended it on. It lasted an entire day, which is impressive for a cream blush.Took off one star only because the color offerings could use work. I love Devoted, but surely Hourglass can do better than a bright red, a coral peach, and three other colors that are so similar that you kinda wonder why they comprise half the color range. I mean, if they were part of a color offering of ten or more, then it makes sense. But offering just six colors and three of them are very similar, it’s just not leaving much room for anyone to buy and enjoy more than maybe two shades. I love these

I love love love them. I have sacred, adore and revel. They're subtle but you can add for impact. I think they're pretty neutral (for cool, nurtral or warm skin). They wear well over makeup or alone and they last. I prefer to blend with my fingers but they blend with a brush or a sponge too. I'm not crazy about the shape. It's very pretty but it's kind of hard to put the cap on. You may mess the tip if you're not paying attention BUT everything else about it outweighs that inconvenience.

As another reviewer stated, the shade matters. This is the type of product that you must wear the shade that's most flattering to your skin tone, if not, it's not going to look good. I tried a punchier color & it looked awful. I wasn't expecting that & it was patchy. But then I tried Loyal & fell in love. It's definitely made to look like your natural skin flush - & if you can find a shade match, it's just so effortless and pretty. It has a smoothing effect - I imagine it's the silicone. This is worth trying if there's a shade in the line that you now is flattering to your skin. I'd never pay $46 for a blush! Then I tried this! I pulled off 1 star because of price & amount. Also lack of shade range. Hourglass can do better.

Stunning Colour

I have never had a blush that actually made me smile when I saw myself wearing it. I have this in the colour "sacred" and it's such a beautiful creamy pink with peachy/warmer undertones that goes on the skin and blends in like a dream. I don't tend to wear heavy makeup looks and the versatility with this cream blush is so great that it would be very easy to change my usual lighter/more natural makeup look with a heavier or more glamourous style for a night out. I blend this out with a brush and not my fingers, as I bought this after a consultation with the colour specialist in-store who applied it in the same way. A little goes a long way, the pigment is excellent, and it looks so much more natural than a powder blush. I love this so much.

The best cream blushers

I nearly deducted a star due to the price. However, this product delivers in so many respects. I have very sensitive skin and Hourglass products have never irritated my skin. It blends seamlessly. This is such an easy product to use in that it is very difficult to apply to much and is so a quick blend with your foundation brush, sponge or fingers and the application looks perfect. The colours are beautiful. Gorgeous packaging and it lasts all day.

I see a lot of mixed reviews on this product and I think that’s (obviously) based on personal preference and the shade the reviewers bought. My personal preference for blush is something that makes me look like I’m flushed naturally/ a rosey blush from within. Devoted does that for me perfectly so this is probably my favourite blush in terms of how it looks on me. Since the colour is light, yes it does take quite a bit of work to build up… but the finished result is perfect to me so I loooove it. It stays on for a decent amount of hours, but all day with a good setting spray (i use charlotte tilburys) Just try it for yourself in store and walk around with it for the day, or give it a go and return if it doesn’t work out.
