It was more yellow than I expected. The top also fit odd—there was a lot of extra fabric that would fill out nicely with a larger bust (I’m ~B cup). The corset part feels great and the strings on the back allow you to further tighten for even more of a snatched look, but the top is so strange I’m returning. Also, the straps don’t adjust, so I can see this being problematic for someone’s shoulders. Fabric felt okay, had a good weight and was also light and airy. Wish this worked out!

It is evident to me that whoever designed this dress has never actually seen a woman in real life and therefore based it loosely off of princesses from old Disney movies. I am 5’6 usually a size XS/S and have a large full bust (30F). Based off of the size guide and reviews I ordered a medium in the large bust. I could not get it zipped up! The fabric is so thick, and is probably similar to the curtains that Maria used in “the sound of music” to make the Von Trapp children their outfits. There was far too much heavy fabric in the skirt and did not lay nicely which made the slit impossible to see. The dress is also way longer than the picture shows, it was down to my ankles. The bust was actually too small! Beautiful dress. Need a very specific body to fit. I ordered an x-small as that is my usual size, could not even zip this dress up. I probably should have sized up to a medium. Also need at LEAST a C cup to fill this dress. I am a B, and the top was essentially an open shelf. I clearly didn't have the assets to make this dress work.For the right shaped women, I will say, it was a gorgeous dress and seemed to be very well made, just not for me.

It was such a beautiful dress on pictures yet once I tried it on I knew it had to be returned. The color was brighter in the picture yet in person it was noticeably darker. The dress fit well yet the bust was definitely done wrong. It was so unflattering. As I was trying it on, I also noticed stains which led me to believe it was probably returned before. I had a whole outfit planned around this dress.. what a shame:(Overall, beautiful dress poor execution.
The bodice of this dress is so beautifully made, and I love the thick, crisp fabric. It’s a shame that the design is so poor. The size small fit my waist (29inch waist…usually not a size small) but I had a solid 6 inches at the top that wouldn’t close. I sized up to the medium plus cup and it was now too big on my waist, but still 6 inches at the top that wouldn’t close. The cups are bizarrely designed. If you have any movement it’s not going to fit correctly or securely. I’d suggest they make the corset lacing in the back functional to allow for my variance in size where people need it more and that they hide a shelf bra in the front to provide support.
I’m around 175 lbs 36ddd bra size and curvy figure and this dress for amazing! The lace up detail in the back makes this dress seem tailored, since I usually have a hard time finding dresses that fit perfectly considering I have a large bust and smaller waist. I’m 5’4” and it hit mid calf length. I bough a large plus with the larger bust option and am able to go braless as well.

Now- this dress IS beautiful, I looked amazing with the corset and it fit my body wonderfully. That is, until the reception. After wearing this dress for only 3 hours THE STRAP POPPED OFF. The corset kept the dress on, so we didn't have a disastrous malfunction but the the stitches ripping out really sucked. Luckily we had an emergency sewing kit to toss a couple of stitches in for the remaining pictures. This is unacceptable, I had never worn the dress before and I wasn't doing anything crazy enough to warrant the loss of a strap. I saw this dress and had high expectations from such a reputable brand. I am a true size 4 and the size small would not even fit someone who is an X-small. When I went to return it in store, I found an XL available so I decided to try it on. The zipper barely made it all the way up but the straps and chest area were huge! The sizing is so off and I truly wanted to love it but cannot find any way to make it work.
I’m shocked. After reading the reviews on this dress I wasn’t expecting much, but holy cow. The material is thick and structured and double lined so the white is extremely opaque. I will say I think the house of CB dresses tend to run on the “smaller” side in the waist because they’re supposed to have a corset effect. I am a 34DD, 26 inch waist and the small D/E cup size fit me like a dream. I’m so excited to wear it. If you need support you could probably put like sticky boobs in the top as it adjusts, but has little lifting support. I feel snatched and confident in the dress, House of CB’s quality has definitely come a long way.
