If you have a slender frame with less curves this dress may fit, my upper body fits XS/S while my hips fit medium. This dress fit my top perfectly, but I was unable to walk/sit/move in it around my hips. Fabric is incredibly stiff. I love house of CB but this was a no for me.

It is a well made dress and very structured. The color blue is a lovely shade- subtle and muted. We are having an issue with the zipper. It takes two people to assist zipping due to thickness of the fabric at the beginning of the corset mid back. Any larger size - the dress may be too loose. Perfect fit (snug) once zipped. But we are afraid the zipper may break.

I wore this dress to a formal Charity event. I got so many compliments from everyone!! The dress fit me very well with my shape. In my opinion it is best for curvy hourglass body types. I did not have any alterations done to the dress, this is straight off the rack. I do have very long legs so I wore a very short heel with it (think kitten). Anything else made the dress too short. This was my first time wearing this line, but I will definitely try them again. The dresses do run very small. I’m normally a medium, and this is an extra large
Very beautiful dress, I love the color but the corset part makes it not true to size, I ordered a large after making sure my measurements were all accurate to their sizing chart and it fit perfectly but once it got to the corset part it completely stopped, making it impossible for me to get up. I had to get an X-large and it fits weird around my legs but perfect around the chest (i’m going to have it altered). I am 5’5 for reference and chest is 41in.
Not sure why the reviews are so low. Despite the ratings, I took a chance on this dress. I LOVE it. I am small, but naturally curvy (32 bust, 25 waist, 38 hips) depending on what it is, and the brand im usually xs/s. the small fits me like a glove! And the corset portion is perfect. The bottom is tight! Theres no room for moving your legs too much, but I’m ok with it.Pairing this with a faux fur jacket & sparkly accessories for a NYE wedding!
Cute dress but if your 5’ 5.5” and 130lbs the bottom fits but the top is slightly too small with a bust measuring 32”. If you size up the top will fit but the bottom will be too big and have wings on the sides. You’ll most likely need to have it altered to fit your build. Also, depending on size it is snug in the hips (38”) in a small so it may be hard to dance in. Medium you can tailor to your hips.
I’ll start by saying it’s really a gorgeous dress, but it just didn’t work for me functionally. The material felt like quality and the corset made my waist look awesome. However it was so tight in the thigh area making it hard to take large steps and you can forget dancing. I could’ve dealt with all that. The deal breaker was there was barely any stretch in the fabric so I was unable to pull the skirt up past my bum to use the restroom when zipped. I would’ve had to take the whole dress off. A size up would’ve been loose in the torso and waist.
Please Beware that this dress is made for someone who is curvy if you have a non-curvy body type other brands will cater to your body type or else you will be spending lots of money altering it. the top can be adjusted so much but the hip region is a bit tight, and the waist needs to be brought in a bit. Other than that I am happy with the material used, it has SOME stretch enough to be able to move around and sit comfortably. I needed a gown last minute for a formal event.. so glad I went in person to a store. It’s kind of boring on the rack, flattering on. I consider myself pretty straight up and down, not curvy, and I like curvy which I feel like this made me look when I’m not. Also: perfect length, even without heels, no hemming required. Glad I gave it a shot. Usually a medium, large in this was perfect.
