Coming from Epson large format printers I love that I can easily replace the printheads on my "new to me" HP Z3100 44" printer. It is literally as easy as changing an ink cartridge. I bought my Z3100 for a great price but it needed all new heads since it sat idle for several years. Replacing the set of printheads got the printer running like new. Like all inkjet supplies, these are pricey, but being able to pop in a brand new printhead when one wears out is invaluable. With Epson printers, you need to get the entire thing serviced for lots of money when your printheads die...not with HP.

Replacing the original (4yrs old). Wasn’t sure how well it would work since it was the first one I’ve had to replace. However, it works like a champ, good as new!

This repair thee HP Bad head, but sadly immediately after installing, and having to go through a number of steps to re-align the heads, another head went bad. It looks like I should replace all 6 heads at once. I will likely end up scrapping this HP Z6300 printer and getting one of the New Canon Pro printers as they seem to be much better built and supported than the HP-Hp is not the company they use to be-Very Sad.
