Ok great little system and can not beat the price for a basic computer. Getting the notice of last automatic update was worrisome being a new system. But all seems fine for now. Wifi hooks up fast and holds signals fine.

I was somewhat surprised at how well this computer has performed in the short time that we have had it. Essentially the same design as the HP Stream computers that are on sale every Black Friday, these computers blow those out of the water in computing power. The display is sharp, the keyboard holds up relatively well, and it has a good feel. So far, the battery life is in line with a computer of this size, but it still will hold a charge with my kids playing online games for over two hours without a recharge. One of the drawbacks is the small size. Additionally, if you buy it and want traditional storage, you may want to invest in a MicroHD card. There is very little room on the actual computer for storage, but that is not what Chromebooks are designed for. ... MoreI was somewhat surprised at how well this computer has performed in the short time that we have had it. Pros: The HP 11a G8 EE 11.6" Chromebook - AMD A4, 16 GB eMMC, Grey is an entry level laptop, storage can easily be increased by the addition of a micro SD card. There is also the option to decide which apps should be running in order to reserve resources. Quite a number of Android mobile phone apps can be run on this laptop including WhatsApp, anti-virus and cleaners, too. It could almost be used like a really big screen mobile phone.Cons: Perhaps more USB sockets could be installed for data transfer for those concerned about bluetooth security issues and on that topic an ethernet socket to bypass WiFi hackers.

The base of the monitor was snapped off, the wrong cable was included, and it was missing a power cord. The computer and keyboard look okay so far, but I can't test their functionality without a working monitor. I was able to fit the base back together, and it might hold, but I'm just going to get a different one. I attached a picture of the attempted repair.I bought this specific set so I wouldn't have to go get a separate keyboard and monitor, and obviously that has failed. I sent a message to the seller, and it hasn't been very long so I don't expect a reply yet, but there's not much of a response that would be helpful at this point.
This is really a great little machine! Everything works great and it is really clean (like new). I would have given 5 stars if the Ram and hard drive could be upgraded. I never new that about Chrome books. If anyone has any ideas on accomplishing this, I would really appreciate the input. I'm a gamer, not a very good tech. I keep my computers running in top condition but not all that great at tearing them down. Thanks!
The advertiser does not advertise that this is a used product. They don't give all of the details. There is only one update left. Not giving all the information, in hindsight, let's me know that they will trick you into buying a less than new machine. That is why such a great discount. I will never buy from them again.
Pros: Its a great compact size and very easy to use with the app function rather than the traditional windows interface I'm accustomed to.Its been set up for my 12 year old and she has found it very easy to use for both school work and personal use.Cons: I would have preferred a slightly higher memory but overall for the price it's fine and we have added a memory card to expand it slightly.
I was looking for something that would be a good addition to my laptop that I have. So far this has been absolutely perfect. I'm having to use a computer often for work and school, and I carry this one around with me everywhere. It's super lightweight which was a huge positive for me with all the commuting I do. The battery lasts me at least a couple of days, so I rarely have to worry about bringing the charger with me when going to work or school. This strictly runs off apps, so if you are looking to use word, excel, editing photos not through google and all that jazz you'll have to go with a computer or laptop. I have been able to manage through school using just google docs so far, and again I bought this as an addition to my laptop not to replace it. I have been able to manage through school using just google docs so far, and again I bought this as an addition to my laptop not to replace it. It's very fast, and I have had no issues connecting to wifi sources. You are always able to download things so you are actually able to work offline. This is helpful if writing a paper or something, and you might be on the bus or just somewhere where there is no internet. There is an SD slot as well as two usb slots. I was a little worried about the memory size. It's 2 GB smaller then my laptop, but once I realized it had the SD and usb slots I wasn't as worried. I went with the 11" size because I wanted something that was smaller then my laptop, but bigger then most tablets. I reason I opted out of a tablet is due to the fact that I'm still a little old fashioned and not a fan of the touch screens. There was a system upgrade that messed with the apps a bit that I am still trying to figure out. It hasn't really affected anything for me, but is different, and I'm still getting used to that. Really great product, and with the price you can't go wrong!
I absolutely love with this HP Chromebook!!! I was extremely hesitant to buy refurbished but couldn’t be more pleased with this item! It arrived in perfect working condition and looked brand new. I was needing to purchase something quick in order to work from home and couldn’t decide between a laptop desktop or pc....I had never owned much less even used a Chromebook but after much research decided to give this one a shot and I am so glad I did. I couldn’t be happier! This Chromebook functions well for both work and personal use keeping things simple and easy. Great Camera. Great Mic and Sound.Great Purchase/PC All Around. I Highley recommend this item and seller.🌺🌺🌺
this hrombook came to me already well past its, "chrome won't support this model since mids 2001. I think that should have been pointed out before selling it to me. I'm trying to return it. Watch out for problem before you buy any chromebook. Came as total shock to me.
