I ordered this laptop after looking at several others. Though, I could have bought a laptop cheaper this one stuck out as being fast and with the processor integrated with the graphics like Intel, it is an AMD processor and I knew the graphics would be better, as my last HP I5 graphics were HD and that was about all I can write on that. This system is fast maybe about the third or fourth fastest computer on the market, without spending another $1500 more. I do not use the screen, as I have my laptops using my TV instead but when I do use the screen it is clear with very good graphics. This is my fifth laptop and the best by far in speed and second on graphics. It will play 4k great and though it mentions playing 3D I do use anything that using 3D. It takes about 20 ... It takes about 20 seconds to load from shutdown, depending on updates, updating does not take but a few minutes, and having a great speed on games where my last laptop was fast I cannot keep up with the speed of this computer's. Some information about my knowledge on computers, I have five years of college and twenty-five years of experience working on computers from the hardware, software, and programs.

I got this a few weeks ago to replace another HP Elitebook that was starting to get a little erratic and wouldn't run Windows 11, and I'm very satisfied so far.Way back in the day I had an HP calculator that was so sturdy you could probably have driven small nails with it. The Elitebook 840 reminds me a little of that - it just feels like a well-built machine.I don't do anything terribly demanding on it - word processing, spreadsheets, web browsing, Zooming - so I can't comment too usefully on the performance of the 840; it does everything I need to do as fast as I need it done. It does boot very quickly. The screen is good - text is readable from quite a wide angle. Camera, microphone and speakers are fine.
Love the Elitebook! It is light, fast, and runs a long time on a charge. Not a gaming PC, but the crisp lines earns some street cred in the boardroom - if you happen to go by one these days.
Bought this about a week ago and tried it out all week and it holds up well and performs wonderfully! If you are looking for a laptop that you'd like to support business functions, then this is for you! Lots of ports and the small size and light weight is a must for portability. This laptop used to be close to $2K and is not on sale. Hence, it is a great deal by a large margin.
So far so good. Windows 11 was a bit a a pain to get rid of predisposition to One Drive. Microsoft experience was quick and efficient. Help was knowledgeable
Good build quality, fast and lightweight. This is my fourth Elitebook so I must be a fan. This isn't suitable for playing games but is usually very reliable. The three year warranty is reassuring.
Enjoying my new elite book 840 and micro center was great they met competitor's price difference which was their own really enjoying it after a 12 year upgrade over my last HP Only issue is that the fingerprint reader is a little temperamental
The battery in this refurbished unit will not keep a charge,
