Have removed buttons from track pad. Much harder to use now so always use a wireless mouse. Also why the need to move the power button? Different version of the same family of machines and the power button has switched. Pointless.

Amazing and super fast laptop

I bought this laptop for personal use because I liked the design + spec combo, despite it being a business orientated laptop but honestly with a few tweaks it performs great and runs Adobe Creative Cloud apps like After Effects and Illustrator incredibly smoothly.

Excellent Bang for the Buck !!!

I cannot overstate the value for the price that this laptop has been. I use it in a technical setting, running engineering software. It works extremely well and even unplugged after 4 hours of use, I still have plenty of power left. I would buy this exact product again.

Good laptop at a descent price

I got this laptop at a promotional price. Overall from feature point of view it’s a descent one and fulfills basic needs. It would have been good to thunderbolt support. But it comes with USB C. So, you can still use a compatible docking station to connect to external monitor and keyboard & mouse. The battery life is also not great. But it’s manageable. Overall it’s good value for money.

Wonderful Probook. Turns on quickly. Graphics look great. Does everything we need it for. Everyone at works wants the same one. I’ve bought three more for work since my purchase for myself.

High-performance HP Laptop with top security

Overall a high-quality laptop and is a great value for the price. Lightweight and sturdy design, backlit keyboard, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage space. It also has advanced anti-virus software to protect against computer malware and phishing hacking attacks.

Nice solid piece of kit

Bought this Laptop for my personal use as I transition from my sabbatical back into work. Like most Computers it's use revolves more around the software and apps than it does the machine itself, in the main. However you want it to be flexible and responsive, along with being easy to use. This laptop is. Combined with my Microsoft 365 account it is pretty much ideal.

Probook 445 first impressions

I bought this unit for development, planning to install Debian on it.The USPs are:Ryzen 7 5800 (v. cool and v. fast 8 core processor)Officially 32 GB of RAM (this unit has 16GB, but ALL of it is user upgradeable: none of it is soldered). Unofficially, some RAM manufacturers claim it will support 64 GB.And the M2 SSD storage is also upgradeable. Prices will come down, so it is easy to imagine in a couple of years time upgrading to 64 GB RAM, 4 TB of M2 SSD. With its 8 cores, it is already capable of supporting a large number of VMs.The spec is unmatched in terms of raw processing power: the only comparable unit is the Lenovo L14 G2 (also running Ryzen 7 5800) but not available (yet) in CH and will be slightly more expensive, and heavier. Everything else which is "mainstream" has at least some of the RAM soldered, and usually limited access to SSD etc: in short "the alternatives" cannot be upgraded / fixed: and you pay more for the privilege of a less well designed / specced model.At the time of writing, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800 chip is not strictly "new", but availability has been problematic because of chip shortages. As for operating system support, it comes with Windows (ugh !). The mainstream Debian Bullseye kernel does not have full support for this Ryzen chip, but the testing release of the next version (which is pretty stable) does. After modifying some of the BIOS defaults, Debian installed from a bootable USB.So far, v. impressive: fast, stable. this is a 14" notebook, so quite small (and light !): if you have large hands and do a lot of typing, you may prefer an external keyboard and mouse.A genuine portable powerhouse, but not a gaming machine.

Review of HP ProBook 445 G10 Laptop

So far so good! The laptop is a little bigger and a little heavier than the laptop I am replacing but set-up was very easy and all is working just fine at the moment.
