Needed an inexpensive, but dependable flash drive for some blueprint scans while on a recent trip to our local OfficeMax. The associate recommended this in a flash... The -1 star is for the sliding cover. It's nice until you go to insert the flash drive into your preferred device. By nature of the design, you casually grip the cover on both sides which inevitably slides forward, not allowing the drive to insert into the PC/laptop. You must then re-adjust your grip and put your thumb on the back of the drive to get the leverage you need to complete the insertion without the cover sliding forward. (Maybe that's why some people call these thumb drives? Another mystery solved!) The performance of the flash drive is nothing special, but also nothing to complain about.

The flash drive was offered for a good price for a solid 64 GB, making it useful to have around for the occasional need for file transfers or just holding. However, it being a USB 2.0 with its slower transfer time may be annoying for frequent usage. The push-in and push-out design also make it a little hard to handle, making it necessary to push on the connection point that goes into the computer, which doesn't feel quite right even if it may be ok.

This memory stick is great to store all sorts of data. I use it to store my personal home record, photos, and music. It holds up to 64 GB of storage so it can hold quite a bit of information. Nice and small that it is mobile enough to take with you. Perfect for my needs.

Needed a small capacity flash drive, 16GB just right. Great price $4.99 when purchased. Loaded it up with all my DOC's and pictures. Working great at this time, no issues...
I bought this about a month ago and have used it to install Windows 10 and the other for Linux Mint Cinnamon. I used the Linux one for doing the install and it worked flawlessly installing the Linux system. I have used the Windows one when my computer crashed on me and it worked flawlessly also. I would recommend the HP flash drives.
Like the HP brand flash drives. Sometime this brand is hard to find. Glad Office Depot stocks them. Like the 16GB flash drive for copy of important reports. Easy to transport. Durable and dependable at a very reasonable price.
This low cost thumbdrive holds the key system database backup, across the country for my properties. One of the most important backups in my industry. Small, doesn't stuck out to far, reliable & more space than I need for $5. I buy it everytime.
bought 2 - both went bad over time - they get very hot - not recognized under Ubuntu anymore, tried way back to v14.##, currently using 22.10. I can see the device ID and the HP-150w, but, that is all. Something on the boards must have gone for them both to be that hot. Data is unrecoverable on one.The Lexar thumb drives (8 GB and 128 GB) run cool with no problems on various Linux installs. Copying with the Lexar might be a bit slow with 2.0, BUT, at least it works without getting so hot it and is reliable. Disappointed with HP all around, from the USB drives to the stupid DRM inkjet where the input try broke from bad design.
I like to keep a couple decent size flash drives for just in case. Gave one away to assist transferring data from our old computer to the new one so time for a couple more. Good price, good capacity.
Easy to use this flash drive, and quickly stored everything I needed for the time -- many photos. It does not have a cap, so if you keep it in a dirty enviro, then you should not purchase this one. If you need something for short-term, this is an inexpensive one but best to have a backup if you are going to need to keep files, etc. for long-term because it has no cap or cover for protection, and fairly low-quality plastic.
