I’ll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about getting this as we already had a well known brand, smaller mixer. This though is an unexpected delight. It’s brilliant at everything we’ve asked it to do and cleaning it’s a doddle. We’re making smoothies all the time, milkshakes, using the ice crusher for cocktails and mock tails too. The smooth and chunky soup setting really work, it’s magic, it heats too! I really can’t fit everything I want to say in this review so I’ll leave it at, I’ve never used a mixer so much in my life, is safe, solid, and quieter than my …shhh …bullet.Yes it is expensive, but that’s covered by it’s usefulness and obvious build quality.I love it, probably too much!Anyone for pumpkin soup? I’ve made too much!

The main reason for purchasing this blender was to be able to efficiently use left over vegetables to make soups that I could then freeze, rather than throwing them out. It has met that purpose well. In addition to making excellent soup it has the advantage that you don't need to constantly return to stir or check whether the soup is sticking to the base of the saucepan. Judging by the soup I have made, I suspect the blender process will work very well when I need to use it. I have only had the blender a couple of weeks and have not had time to experiment beyond soup but I look forward to exploring the other uses of the blender.

I wanted a baby food maker to create healthy home meals for my baby who has just started weaning. The problem was I wanted something to last longer than a few months and be multifunctional. This machine is great! It pulses for all stages of weaning as well as making quick meals for tired & busy parents. Other reviewers have mentioned the sharp blades which need to be avoided when washing (it has an auto clean function but this isn't great). The machine is larger and taller than I expected so I had to move a few things around for it to fit, however, I'd highly recommend it for cold and hot ready to eat meals. Add the ingredients, press the desired button and walk away knowing that the countdown timer will create the perfect mix.
Great for soups. You can leave it for 30 mins and come back and it's all sorted and very smooth. I've also made some good cocktails. Steaming veg worked well. It's a shame it doesn't come with some recipe ideas and recently I've found the soup leaves a brown residue on the heating part at the bottom of the jug. No problem as you can take it all apart and clean but does need quite a scrub. The instructions are minimal and it come with this black plastic rod but doesn't explain what it should be used for. I presume Mixing. I would buy again but it would have been nice to have a recipe book and thee doesn't seem to be many recipes on-line.
+Great blender for smoothies, cocktails/ice crushing and soups.+Easiest menu to operate+Preparing soups is simple and trouble-free. wash and cut ingredients, add water, set function and you can forget about it and do something else until it is ready.+Jug capacity optimal for a couple and for parties-On the heavy side, so if you dont have space on your top then you will probably end up using it not too often-Washing is complicated, auto-wash isn't perfect so requires manual work. And every once in a while you'll need to remove bottom gasket to properly rinse residues.
The Tefal perfectmix cook has become a firm favourite in my kitchen. It blends, grinds and mixes efficiently leaving no unwanted lumps. It's a lot quieter than my previous one too. It is very easy to clean having its own self clean program if you want to use it. It's very well built and should last a lifetime. It crushes ice in seconds to make perfect cocktails and ice coffees. Soups are a breeze, at the touch of a button it you can cook and decide between smooth and chunky and what's great is that all the nutrients are retained. I have also been making my favourite ice cream milkshakes saving money on buying them. I've steamed eggs, several at a time while I get on with other thing the Tefal perfectmix cook takes care of it all.
I bought this Tefal Perfectmix Cook BL83SD65, after another well known brand failed within a week! And I'm glad I bought this tefal soup maker it's perfect. Less noisy than others, so far done soups and Smoothies to perfection. Has a self clean function but also can clean by hand, parts come off even the blade so can clean without worry unlike the other brand, even if any bits of food/liquid gets in you can clean up all little parts. The blade is safe tightly fixed in place and you have to click a button underneath to release it.
