I started telling everyone that would listen how much better these were than other alternatives! Its now been 3 years of fueling with Huma, and I have run 9 more marathons and I've dropped about 30 min since I converted! Huma user for life right here! The Huma Plus are some of my favorite because I feel like they give me a little extra umph with the added coconut water and sea salt! Give them a try!

I was first using another brand of gels that still would sometimes irritate my stomach on runs. Two years ago, my friend/coworker and current brand ambassador of Humagel suggested I give it a shot. He was an elite marathoner, who was also vegan, and I trusted his judgement. I tried it out on several runs and during a half marathon, and I felt fantastic. Even if I missed a water station and took the gel, it went down easier and I didn't feel any stickiness in my throat like I did with other products. From then on til today, I've been using Humagel. Also worth noting that I really disliked fruit flavored gels before Huma because they tasted fake - this is NOT the case with Huma. The combination of chia seeds and fruit tastes delicious.

Actually tastes like the thing!

Huma gels are much more palatable for me since they are made of the thing that they say they are (at least somewhat) without being difficult to eat or questionable on the stomach like dried fruit/real food can be (for me). After getting angry at the gels I was using for being so sweet I gave these a try and have been much happier on my long workouts. Still racing with Maurten as it plays nicer with my stomach at race effort but training with Huma has made me much more consistent with fueling workouts.

Great flavor, no discomfort

In the past I have had gels that gave me an upset stomach and have caused me to rush to the bathroom upon completion of my run. I was concerned that I would have this problem with these gels as well because of the all natural ingredients but I'm happy to report that after having multiple of them on my 17 mi run I didn't have to rush to the bathroom at any point or at the end. I've tried all of the non caffeinated flavors and enjoy all of them.

Great for intra-run fuel

I use this during my long runs. Very easily digestible, doesn't cause any problems, and I like that its made from natural ingredients. No weird chemicals that hurt your stomach. Just real ingredients that provide you with stable energy to execute your run. Also doesn't hurt that it tastes great!

Huma Energy Gels are great.

I get on really well with Huma Gels. I have tried most of the flavours and enjoy them. My favourite is the lemonade flavour. I find the Gels very easy on my stomach. Performance wise I can’t fault them. They just let me keep running at a constant pace without feeling tired. I use them on all my runs over 50 minutes. I find taking one every 50 minutes works well for me whatever pace I am running at.I’d highly recommend them. My order from X-miles always arrives really quickly

Sweet sustained energy

Huma is now part of my rotation. I typically mix it in among other products to provide variety. I've got a picky stomach that can go south during really long (50+ mile) efforts. Huma is a great tasting calorie source that hasn't caused me any stomach troubles. The natural flavors make it quite palatable. Sometimes I even find myself looking forward to when I get to open the next one. It is pretty sweet, though, so a palette cleanser or change of pace from a different product is necessary for me. I don't think I could fuel for 20 hours on this stuff without going on sweetness overload.

They're so good!

I was skeptical about these for whatever reason, but when I finally tried them I absolutely loved them! I have a hard time with how thick many gels are (looking at you, GU) and I love that these are more of a fine puree than a paste, syrup, or sludge. I tried the strawberry flavor and it's truly delicious. It tastes like perfectly ripe strawberries but is not so sweet as to be sickening on a hot day. There is a pleasant starchy texture and flavor that tames the sweetness a bit and makes these very easy for me to get down. I will definitely continue using them!
