Looking at the door you would expect the bottom rail to have lots of wood in it, able to be easily trimmed to size.In actuality, the internal wood rail is only 22mm high, so any trimming of more than that leaves you with the open cavity and the cardboard baffle. Necessitating the milling and glueing in of a piece of wood to stabilise the bottom of the door.Come on manufacturers...You know some people are going to trim the doors to suit older houses.Why not make the internal Timber rail deeper so that I do not have to go to all this extra work.NOT IMPRESSED !

I had to race down and get a new door when carpenter couldn’t fit - it had already been painted - did not want to battle, so paid for another - it was great.

A well built door but cannot be customised in any way. HUME makes a lot of doors but there sizes don't meet. 820mm door can only be trimmed by 3mm max to down to 814 effectively. The next size 780mm. That leaves 34mm. Older homes need +- 805mm
Good value but read the label. According to Bunnings paint shop, these doors are primed for transport not for painting. Still need to apply primer prior to top coat of paint.
We've bought a bunch of these doors and love them. They look great, they're lightweight and easy to work with.
Hume internal door. Well finished. The construction could included better quality timber frame inside the outer MDF veneer to add construction integrity and durability. It is so light that feels like it is made out plastic and that I am buying a product from $2 shop. These doors should be wrapped with durable plastic from factory to ensure that when they are stored in the store and delivered they don't come solied, edges chipped and panel veneer gouged. This was our experience. This is Hume doors' highest turnover product and sad to see that to keep cost down quality has slipped.
Great product, well put together and paint ready finish. Solid wood frame & batons for adjustments and knob/latch fittings.
Our doors had some damage to the wood grain finish at the bottom of 2 of the doors. They needed to be sanded to hide the roughed up areas. One door was slightly bowed. The delivery was relatively quick given covid. Given how cheap they were they look great painted with new handles.
The doors where overall not bad for the price, although they are not prepped so you will need to do 2 prep coats before you can paint them the desired colour. I did notice the two I got did not match the centre feature was off centre on one of them by about 20mm.
