Certified? Upon opening box and inspection found the following defects: 1) scratches in case side (who cares) but should be disclosed 2) chain catch badly bent 3) gas cap unattached from tether 4) upon fueling, starting was challenge and would not stay running. I'm only giving this saw three stars because of the condition I received it in. Should never happen in certified. After fixing the defects and properly tuning the carb all is fine and saw would get 4 stars. By the way, to tune carb you need special tool that thankfully I had. The lay person would be sending this unit back.

I bought this chainsaw about 2 months ago. I used it once to cut some bushes in my yard. It ran well. Once i finished i noticed one of the dampener springs that holds the engine in place was broke. I brought it to a Husqvarna service center where they fixed it. I brought the saw home and now it will not start. After reading reviews from many other sites this seems to be the case with this saw. It never even got through a tank of gas. Very disappointed in the performance as i have purchased several other husqvarna products in the past and they have always been high quality. This saw simply is not.

Mixed 2.6oz of Husqvarna fuel mix in gallon can. Using canola oil in place of bar oil. Safety bar pushed forward, pulled choke all the way out, primed bulb 6 times, put right foot in handle, pulled starter rope slowly until felt resistance then pulled forcefully 5 times and the engine tried to start. Pushed the choke half way in and pulled a few times and it started. Pulled safety bar back to disengage chain brake and let it run for 30 seconds. Then SLOWLY squeezed throttle fully for 10 seconds to set idle speed. Let it warm up for 10 seconds at normal idle speed and then SLOWLY squeeze throttle for 5 seconds and it kind of stalled THEN IT DIED.Repeated starting process and SLOWLY squeezed full throttle THEN IT DIED AGAIN.Repeated starting process and SLOWLY ... MoreMixed 2.6oz of Husqvarna fuel mix in gallon can. I bought another Echo here in Hawaii and the clutch failed after half dozen uses and Echo would not warranty.So, I researched Stihl BUT really liked Husqvarna. I was so SOLD on Husqvarna I bought the Mark II at Lowes 4 months ago. I was SO excited, I bought an extra/bigger Husqvarna fuel mix and EVEN bought a Husqvarna blower (which starts easily but tries to stall at idle so I figured the chain saw might be the same way when it came time for me to use the chain saw). I read that the Mark II is the only Husqvarna product not actually made by Husqvarna but it did not deter me due to my wishful thinking. OUCH.Going back to Lowes and hopefully exchange for one that works. I will bring my own fuel mix and oil and test it there this time in front of witness.

When I investigated the tank, I found that the filter stone thing was positioned so that it was forced to the top of the tank. No amount of repositioning would keep it in the bottom like it should be. I eventually pulled the stone off, cut the line shorter and got it to stay where it should be. The saw now runs great, and all the way through the entire tank. If it was not for this issue, I would have given it 5 stars for sure. The price was amazing. I was expecting to have to adjust carb screws, and did not (I am glad, because I am not great at that). If I decide that I would also like to have a bit larger saw, I will buy another refurbished from the same seller. I purchased the Husqvarna 120 Markii 38 cc Gas Chainsaw approximately 1 year ago. I have been putting in walking trails on my land. I've put in half a km of trails 8 ft wide. Than I went back and started limbing the surrounding trees. Its lightweight, typically starts on the 3 or 4th pull. I have put this saw through its paces. I recently sold the 120 and plan to pick up the Husqvarna 445E once it is in stock at my local Canadian Tire.
Bought in March of 2022 at tractor supply. Used 3 different cutting sessions. Has not ran correctly since I got it!I! Continiously wont start, wont run full throttle!! Was advised at tractor supply that it was adjusted at sea level. Has the carb adjusted for the mountains of Northeast Tennessee. It ran like a scalded dog for one cutting session 6 trees. Picked it up the next day and same old song and dance wont run full throttle, wont stay running and just basically a piece of crap!! Thos has been the worse chainsaw that I have ever owned from day one.
I was replacing an old, cheap Poulin at my cottage that had finally crapped out. This brand had a good name but after one use it was obvious this version is substandard. Very hard to start out of the box, underpowered and it leaked chain oil all over. Not just bit, but actual drops coming out. A pool soaked into my deck when I left it there for a half hour on day one. I returned it and got another brand never to believe the hype on Husq again.
I have only used this saw two times for a total of 3 hours. The first start I noticed it went easily and ran a bit high, but no major issues were noticed.During the first use, I noticed the saw continued running high and the chain spun as if I was holding the trigger to cut. I used the manual to adjust the throttle and noticed that the clockwise/counter-clockwise turns had no effect on the chain rotation as noted in the manual. I bought this to replace a 40cc, 18" bar Poulin which was leaky and chain slipped easily. I thought the 2cc less motor and a better name would be a better spend of money over the cheaper Poulin. But it isn't. The 120, 38cc with 16" bar Husq is way less powerful, and as a couple of other reviewers have said, it hard to start out of the box and hard even after a robust first use clearing a couple of downed trees at my cottage which I did yesterday. Cutting through a 6" diameter softwood tree (pine) stops the chain easily. You have to cut slowly.I know this is a small version saw but naively thought I would get more satisfaction than what I did.
