The bottle does a great job keeping my water cold, and the wide mouth is very easy to drink from. Purchased it at the Dick's Warehouse in Lakewood and it was an additional 25% in a lovely orange color that my niece loved. She said she'd been wanting that color water bottle. Unfortunately, she did not get it and couldn't talk her brother into trading with her. Hydro Flask is the favorite water bottle in the family and always desired year round by the adult kids.

The 32oz hydro flask with straw lid and boot has been a great addition for our family and makes a good gift. They are durable, come in fun colors, and don't leak. I was out at the beach and in the sauna where the outside of the bottle can get very warm, but the water inside stays cold. The ice in the bottle from the morning was still there in the evening! I am overall drinking more water since it's easy to carry with the loop and would purchase again if needed.

I have several hydroflasks, bought from different stores throughout the years. It does keep liquid cool, but after a year or so, the lid starts to stink like mold or something. I've tried so many times to clean it, leave it in soap water, and it just doesn't get rid of the smell, which makes me think it's not getting clean at all. After one bottle down, I thought it was just a defect. But this is my third hydroflask. I no longer recommend this brand, unfortunately.
Hydroflask products are not double wall vacuum insulated. They are stainless steel with insulation. My insulation failed after two years. How is this good for the environment once the environmental cost of producing a stainless steel product is factored in? It’s not. Stick with brands that are actually double wall vacuum insulated. I’m tired of how this product is promoted. It seems misleading.
So sad. My commemorative members REI special edition was squarely hit and squashed by my husband in his pick-up truck. I was crushed. This was my daily go to for hydration. The wide neck fills easily with ice and it truly stays cold for 48 hours. Coldness is necessary for the water to be palatable enough for me to stay hydrated. In spite of the higher cost, it was an easy decision for me to go for a new replacement. I love the new color, hibiscus, but miss the special REI logo. Still, since I carry this everywhere with me, the color is easy to spot when I have misplaced it. I also replaced the boot which make for a softer landing when placing my bottle on a table or other hard surface. And go for the straw lid. I then proceeded to place the container in my car while the temperatures hovered around 108 degrees. It does a great job keeping things cold, but there are a few cons. I probably should have ordered a smaller size as this one does not fit in my car's cup holders. It's also a little large for me to grab with one hand. Again, if i ordered a smaller size that wouldnt be an issue. But, all things aside, I can definitely see that it is well made, and will last a long time.
You're here cause you're curious whether it really keeps your beverages at their temp (cold or hot) for hours on end. The answer is yes.Even if subjected to a sunny summer day or cold winter night, these held up. If you're okay drinking room-temperature coffee when you're shivering or warm water when you're sweating, save the money. If you're like the rest of us, this is worth the money. Pro-tip: throw some stickers on it so you can distinguish it from others in your cohort who also use it!
I got this to serve as a camp coffee thermos. Had high hopes. That way whoever gets up first (him) can make the coffee and keep it hot until the other person (me) gets up. It simply doesn’t keep coffee hot. It loses heat despite attempts to pre-warm it, check the lid, etc. I find this to be the case with the lidded mugs as well. Maybe hydro flask is more designed to keep water cold. On to the next experiment, which is a bummer. This was pricey and it’s too late to return it.
