The box says "supports 720p" but what that actually means is every game you put in, be it PS1 or PS2, is upscaled by this device using the USB port on your PS2 as a power source. Incredible clarity! Didn't seem to want to display picture through my HDMI splitter / sound bar, so I had to use the display port on the side of my TV, which isn't a big deal since I use optical audio for my PS2 anyhow to take advantage of the handful of games that support DTS, and it was probably an issue with the splitter not wanting to feed the image through. Highly recommend this product for those who don't want to drop 300 dollars on a launch PS3 that's probably going to break within a few years. You'll save a ton of money with this product.

Works great with our old PS2. On initial power up the screen was green in color. I had to go into the PS2 and change the video setting to RGB output.....and it worked perfectly. This product is great when adapting an old video game deck to modern technology TV's.

This cable works for what I needed it to do. It takes the PS2 component signal and converts it to hdmi. The results are great. It also converts the ps1 240p signal as well. I am able to play Tekken 2 on my 4k TV and it looks fine for being a 20+ year old game. No rainbowing or stuttering. I had to adjust my TV settings slightly because it seemed just a tad dark but that isn't that big of an issue for me. For 30 bucks this the best deal your gonna get aside from more expensive options. Highly recommended for ease of use and adaptibility. Works all of my HDTVs, Samsung, Lg, Vizio. The only other caveat I would mention is it stretches the screen to 16:9 but that also is easily fixed in TV settings. I give this product a 9/10. Recommended.
Like the Dreamcast version's, I had high hopes for this product. Unfortunately, all this product did was display my PlayStation 1 and 2 games in a ugly, dark-green hue on my HDTV. It seems like the only upscaler I can get to work with my PS2 is my off-brand, audio/video-to-HDMI upscaler that, while doesn't do the best job upscaling the graphical resolution, works better than most of the HD upscalers I've tried on my PS2.
This cable has worked great with my PlayStation 1. It is very easy to set up and is a marked improvement over the composite cables I was previously using. The difference is enough for me to appreciate the added visual clarity and make me want to play my PS1 more.
Changed my PS1's display exponentially. It looks so much better than it did with the old component convertor. Highly recommend!
When i start playing ps2 with this cable, i need to give power to the cable with phone charger about 2 minutes before starting the console. If i just plug this wires usb to console power supply, and power the cable at same time as console, tv says no singal for few minutes. After it starts working, video quality and colours are good. But the 2minutes "charging time" before using is stupid and unaccectable for almost 40eur cable.
I read reviews of people saying that the cable displays in green on PS2. If you read that instructions before using YOU WILL NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM! I have tested this cable on TCL, Samsung, and Visio displays with absolutely no issues. This is not an upscaler. You get an analog to digital converter so keep that in mind. All in all a very good product.
The cable came before the estimated delivery date. Unfortunately the cable did not work. I had a green screen on a playback device connected by this cable. I did not have this issue when I used an AV-HDMI adapter. I am working on the returning process for this cable.
