Ibanez AEG50 BK Acoustic-Electric Guitar Black
The AEG, a compact body electric acoustic guitar with a slim neck has been well-accepted for its easy playability for more than two decades. Ibanez is proud to announce that the AEG series has been renewed with updated electronics and looks. The changes were based on the concept, simple and easy control. The AEG50 starts with a new preamp, an Ibanez AEQ-TTS. The small and simple preamp has only two control knobs, volume and shape. This at-a-glance tone control offers natural acoustic sound in the center position. It allows players to adjust the tone easily and enables them to go from low, fat and powerful tones to a bright and crispy sound while adjusting only one knob. A new easy-to-read onboard tuner with LCD(liquid crystal display) is located on the preamp. The AEG50 comes with a simplified rosette, a binding and ornamentation on the headstock. These finer details add a sharp and stylish atomosphere to the guitar. Other features include a Spruce top and a Sapele back & sides body, an Ibanez T-bar II Undersaddle pickup which equalizes the volume from each string and delivers a well-balanced signal, and special bulb-shaped Ibanez Advantage Bridge pins for easy string installation.

I got this guitar for my 17th birthday after only about 6 months of experience and once this guitar was in my hands my skills increased exponentially. Barre chords became more smooth as well as transitions. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a new guitar to advance their sound and skill levels.

Looked good online but like someone else said it's like a toy I should have listened. I was told since I didn't like it I would have to pay return shipping and ups quoted me eighty five so I called guitar center and they said I could return it there. I did and they were very nice and it went back on my card

This guitar arrived in absolutely stunning condition. Tuner works great. Sounds amazing. Thank you!
Overall:I purchased this guitar in February and it arrived unplayable. I was unable to review for this reason. Due to living in a remote location and being disabled it was to dificult to exchange, however, zZounds was very prompt at trying to help me return it. Unfortunately my caregiver had to throw away all the packaging. So my fault I couldn't return. I have purchased many ibanez guitars and this was the first time I had a problem. However, it's pretty obvious ibanez knew about this when sending the guitar to zZounds. So a little disappointed. So I'm unable to try this guitar, however, zZounds was very prompt and the customer service was great. I just can't return it and that's my fault. I would still recommend this guitar and zZounds.
Ordered online on a Tuesday was dispatched from central warehouse and received by the Friday! As for the guitar itself, this is now my favourite guitar, I also own a Yamaha APX600, which I thought was great, this has now blown that away. I love the 12 string sound of this guitar, it is really playable, actually the action is much better than my 6 string Yamaha. that I find it easier to play. The sound is great both unplugged and through an amp. The onboard tuner I felt was a must for a 12 string, otherwise tuning that up would be quite a faff. Seems to hold tuning pretty well. Looks great, I paid £290 and think that is a great price. I also own an Ibanez Artcore AF55-TKF, but I believe the quality and action of the 12 string is better, it feels a level up in terms ... Great guitar. Quality construction, great setup out of the box, easy to re-string, great appearance. Holds tune well. The sound is brighter than we hoped, due to our bias toward the sound of our nylon-string classical guitar. So, we are experimenting with strings of similar gauge which are marketed as "mellow." The neck is smaller (43mm) than our classical guitar, which is part of what we needed for this guitar.
Ibanez is great among so many marks nowadays, you get nice well made guitar with such beautiful sound pluged or unplugged and fair price .. I love Ibanez..
I disagree with the 1 star review here. This is the perfect acoustic for someone who wants something with a smaller body but a nice full neck with low actions. This is perfect for practice at home. Not the guitar you want for a deep bold rich sound, but perfect for what it is! Very happy with it, you just have to know what you are looking for
Really great for practice, easy to play and feels comfortable. Honestly found the tone to be quite nice sounding - I've played only dreadnoughts before, but wanted something not as booming with more mid and this works for me. This isn't going to be a touring/gigging guitar so don't expect it to sound like one, but if you're an amateur playing and recording for fun, this is a solid guitar. The blue finish is amazing as well, and the tuning display is easy to read and use.
