Born from an intensive partnership between Ibanez and one of today's most dynamic guitarists, the Scott LePage KRYS10 represents a masterful fusion of the beloved AZ series DNA with Scott's distinctive artistic vision. This signature instrument builds upon the proven AZ foundation whilst incorporating personalised modifications that reflect Scott's versatile playing style and tonal requirements. The guitar's construction centres around a roasted maple neck featuring an AZ oval C profile, which undergoes heat treatment to enhance stability, durability and resistance to environmental changes. Graphite reinforcement rods provide exceptional sustain and structural integrity, whilst the ebony fretboard contributes tight low-end response, focused midrange and crisp high-frequency attack. The ash body construction adds pleasing brightness and rich harmonic content to the instrument's overall voice. Scott's custom Fishman Fluence pickup system offers remarkable versatility across multiple voicing options. The neck pickup provides vintage PAF warmth in Voice 1, an exclusive clear and airy chime in Voice 2, and vintage single-coil clarity in Voice 3. The bridge pickup spans from calibrated vintage PAF tones to classic hot-rodded humbucker sounds, plus a slightly overwound single-coil option, covering everything from aggressive leads to pristine clean tones. The T1502 tremolo bridge system features steel saddles and a die-cast zinc block for responsive performance and improved note articulation. With 10.5mm string spacing facilitating comfortable picking technique and snap-in tremolo arm construction for convenient setup, this bridge system complements the guitar's professional-grade appointments throughout.
