I have a crew neck 200 Oasis long sleeve that I purchased years ago. I love that they now have the option of a v neck!!! Perfect for layering under sweaters where the crew neck tends to poke out!The newer version is very nice and soft and seems to be good quality, but I like the fit of the older one more, and also the fact that it doesn't have any branding. The new version is bigger, and it also has branding on the sleeve which I dislike (though it's subtle!). I also liked that the older version had a real tag, not a painted on one. I'm worried the painted on sticker will not hold up. The slimmer fit from years past fit my shape much better too, so i'm sad this one is larger! I'm hoping the new one will shrink slightly after the first wash.

I think I have 5 of these that I've bought over the years in solids and stripes. They're thick enough to not be see-through like many of the thinner Icebreaker shirts in light colors. They are also comfortable, fitted, but not too tight. I'm a curvy C-cup, and they're very flattering. I also really like that the collars are high. The all-wool makes them not retain stink after washing like many of the mixed fabrics do. I easily can wear 1 shirt for a week without washing, assuming I don't get it dirty from mud or food and need to wash because of that.I wish these were available in short sleeve at this weight. I'd get a larger size to have slight looser t-shirt fit if those were available.

An excellent top by Icebreaker. It is on the pricier side but on the other hand, it’s 100% merino wool and for that, I think it’s well worth it. I don’t normally purchase casual clothing, but after wearing this 100% merino base layer, I can’t shop for anything less. It is lightweight and absolutely very warm. It’s perfect for travelling, especially when travelling light. I wear medium size and it fits perfectly. To start my new collection, I just purchased another two similar clothing from icebreaker.

I've been wearing icebreaker for 9 years since I did a thru-hike on the AT. These things are expensive but well worth the price. I afford 1/year and now own about 8 of them. They are very durable, very well stitched, soft, non-itchy (and I'm sensitive), lightweight but very warm. From November to March I'm always wearing one. HINT: buy one size larger than you usually are. Because these are wool, they will shrink a bit, even in cool water, and you don't want to ruin it that one time it accidentally gets washed in warm! These work best with a little space between you and it, not skin-tight. The sizes and colors are always spot-on.
I absolutely LOVE this shirt. I have another icebreaker thermal shirt which is Merino 300 and it is way too hot for day to day high intensity outdoor activities. I got this shirt as a gift, and in contrast I find the Merino 200 perfect as a base layer for my bike commute, snow-shoeing and backcountry skiing. I also love the small details of the black pine trees and lines. So much more fun than a plain white shirt and I assume will hide stains better. My favorite part of merino / icebreaker products is that even after a day of use and sweating I find the shirts do not smell (or at least not anywhere close to as bad as a synthetic gym shirt material).Overall highly recommend for people looking for a good base layer of good quality.
Found this on sale and ordered my regular size and it fits like a body forming layer. I ordered a size up and it seemed a better fit for my needs. Quality fabric but the collar feels stretchy some what. The length of the shirt is longer than some if that's what you like, but I'm not trying to warm my butt. Some people may have a longer trunk type body or tuck their shirt. Sleeves plenty long. Its lightweight. I'm keeping the 200 top and will see its long term use but the 260 weight I sent back because I felt the lighter base layer worked for me as I could layer to get better results with more versatility for my climate. The fabric is plush and you may wear this as a everyday top used as casual wear on cold days. The fabric is that nice.
I ordered a new Oasis LS for women directly from Icebreaker. I washed it according to the instructions and was even more careful. I used to love Icebreaker products, but after having one label of a top become sticky and actually smear onto my skin, I stopped buying them. This morning, another, newer top was sticking onto itself. I called and was told to use alcohol or GooGone to "remove the stickiness", which basically means, to remove the tag, and the wash it.There is no question about Icebreaker quality, but this issue, which is obviously an ongoing quality issue, will continue until the tag material is changed to a cloth one. I was told there was no plan to change this, but that my feedback would go to the "powers that be". These tages negate any high quality that Icebreaker products have, unfortunately.
I bought my first Icebreaker Merino 200 Oasis Long Sleeve Crewe thermal top at a hotel gift shop in New Zealand last February when I knew I needed another layer to feel warm in the chillier-than expected weather there. I wore that top every day for the 11 days of the trip. It was on me for hikes and boat rides and walks through town. Since then, I have purchased three more. I wear them for hiking, with pants and skirts for work, or for a night on the town. I almost never have to wash them unless I spill something on them, because they never develop an odor. Having always been sensitive to wool, I was worried they would itch, no matter how subtle, but that has not been the case. They are soft and comfortable. I'll keep my eyes open as Icebreaker brings out more colors, because I expect to be wearing these tops for many years and would like to buy them in additional colors.
Have owned many Oasis tops over the years and still love these. This version is a bit lighter so I was skeptical at first but washed it and dried it to test the fabric and it tightened up just a little so my usual size is still perfect. LOVE the earthy brown color and design has garnered many compliments already. Also great for winter work -- not the heaviest underlayer but fine for sunnier winter days alone, or as a non-binding base layer. Perfect at altitude almost year-round. Nice enough to show off and thin enough to keep your core warm or use as lovely winter pajamas on cold nights. Already have friends wanting this color but seems to be discontinued in favor of "lollipop" colors, sadly. Glad I bought more than one!
