I bought these in autumn 2022. I was nervous about the cost, but had read so many good reviews and wanted an investment pair of very warm leggings to wear in order to keep our home heating costs down. Though these were expensive, they were cheaper than heating costs!Pros: they were super comfortable and soft, and while they look like tights when on, they pulled on like trousers and didn't feel suffocating like winter tights often do. I usually wear dresses and these worked a charm to wear with wool socks under my dresses, instead of tights.Additionally, given the odor-resistant nature of wool, I could wear these daily for 2 weeks before needing to wash them.Cons: they are more delicate than they look. They look and feel very sturdy and thick, but sadly, these somehow got a pull in one leg that quickly ran all the way down the leg, so are no longer usable.I am really torn, as I loved the feel and warmth of them. But I was only willing to spend so much money because I expected them to last several winters, not just one! I am reluctant to buy another pair, given that they may not last very long.

pros:Not scratchy. Not too tight but not baggy. Fits under my jeans and under my leggings without and bulking. Wear it under leggings and it's been good enough to wear in -15 degrees!Minimal branding ( do like the waist band branding tho). Actually high rise.9/10.Only thing I would change is it is a tiny tiny bit see through. Would wear around the house without anything over them... but couldn't wear in public or outside with sun light by them selves as you would be able to see my underwear

I bought the leggings for later in the winter because I have such a hard time keeping warm when it's really cold. I have not worn these leggings yet; it isn't cold enough yet. I know I'm going to be warm because I love my Icebreaker 150 leggings. I do wish you would offer different leg lengths; these are long on me, other than that I really love them. I highly recommend these leggings.

I'm loving these so far - I was worried they might be itchy (I ordered the 200 leggings to compare and found them too itchy to walk around in) but wore them all day yesterday under sweats at home and looser jeans when I was out and about and they kept me warm! Fabric wise I'm one of those people who pretty much only buys soft clothes/cuts the tags out of things, so I'm glad I've found high quality wool thermal underwear that I can see myself wearing most days. Fit wise I feel like these could be a little more snug in the hips/waist area (I'm 5'10 and 130 lbs), but I was pleasantly surprised that these fit well through the legs (not too tight) and are long enough. They aren't exactly baggy in the hips, the fit just feels a little strange at first, but maybe all long ... Regardless would recommend, wish I'd ordered these in more colors when they were on sale!
I would recommend this product to anyone like me who is always cold but somehow always sweats at the slightest heat. I work in a retail store and i always sell this product and I have received countless positive feedbacks. It helps your body stay dry which keeps you stay warm when you need it and cools you down when you need it. A perfect baselayer!A lot of people complain that merino is an itchy material. I honestly did not have a problem and I have relatively sensitive skin.
Wore these in two colors on a 10-day trip in December to the Netherlands to walk around towns and christmas markets and they performed fabulously! Only washed once mid-trip. During very damp days I layered a lighter weight tight under but otherwise I chose to wear under a quilted puffer skirt with wool sneakers. The warmth was great for chilly damp streets yet not too stiffling when we'd go indoors to shops or trains. These are the gold standard for softness and comfort AS WELL AS MACHINE WASHABILITY. Nothing holds up long term like my ice breaker leggings and other clothes - the knit is so superior!
Havent used this out in the field so no comment to warmth or durability, but tried these leggings against the Oasis style and these ones are SO much more comfortable. The fabric is a lovely soft thick jersey knit that feels smooth against the skin. The Oasis stye was quite scractchy and thin in comparison.|Fit is generous. I'm over 6FT and the XL are lovely and long enough to bunch up at the ankles slightly. I have wide hips and these are loose/stretchy enough that i could probably go down a size for a snugger fit, but from experience Icebreaker 100% merino will shrink slightly on the first wash so am definitely sticking with the XLLike all the legging styles, these come up to just sit on the hips - i feel they were slightly higher than the Oasis ones. Really wish ... MoreHavent used this out in the field so no comment to warmth or durability, but tried these leggings against the Oasis style and these ones are SO much more comfortable. Really wish Icebreaker would make their leggings an inch or so higher. When you need this much warmth on the lower body, you really want the fit to feel generous and cosy and have it cover your belly and close up any gap above your jeans - not feel like you have to keep pulling them up. Higher cut leggings can be folded down if somoene wants a bare midriff, but these lower cut leggings cant be pulled up to the waist. Please take note icebreaker and change the cut! Also most jeans/trousers these days are in fashion to sit high on the waist, so it just feels weird to have thermals that dont reach up to the height of your trousers.Just want to add one note about the packaging: well done Icebreaker for sending these out in plastic free packaging, just brown cardboard boxes with cut out windows. bravo~!!
I pick up a couple of these very year or so for my wife. She wears them as a dedicated base layer under hiking trousers and also under dresses for warmth (and modesty) and also for lounging around the house. They seem to work perfectly for all these options. The fit is spot on and shapes very well. Cant see them under trousers, look smart under a dress/skirt and not bad at all on their own either. We have tried a few very similar (cheaper) versions from other well known and respected brands, however something is always 'off' with them whether it be fit/shape/comfort/longevity etc so we just stick with these now. The old adage 'you get what you pay for' holds up well here.
I am a born and rooted upper mid-westerner and love the winter, but also deal with several chronic conditions that mean I have poor circulation and sensitivity to the cold. These leggings are a game-changer! I didn't even know I could stay this warm during everyday bustling about and outdoor recreation like skating and skiing. I've noticed having that assurance of warmth makes me more likely to get out and connect when temps are low and that's exactly what I need! I usually wear XS (size 2) but I sized up because I don't like tight fitting waistbands. High quality, love the his waist, warm but not too heavy. So worth it!
These are a great base layer when the temperatures drop below -30c. I'm between a M and a S and chose the Small. However I wouldn't buy them again and think a M would have been better. I've worn them for a year and find the low rise irritating and they (navy) attract fluff like mad. Oddly this doesn't happen with my 260 tops. These have developed a small run in them but I sewed it up. They haven't pilled in spite of the white lint that covers them, and are very functional in the xtreme cold.
