Aesthetically, design looks premium. However, output is pathetic using usb connection. It's really low on volume and no details are present. I was using a simple usb c to 3.5mm dongle which gave lot of details, loudness compared to this expensive product. My devices internal dac performed far better. Even Bluetooth performance is really poor. Money 💷 wasted. I tried with Samsung S22 Ultra, Ipad and Asus Zenfone. All had the similar issues listed above.

iPhone’s ‘AAC’ Bluetooth codec doesn’t bring out the best of this device.. you need to buy a special powered adapter(not mentioned by manufacturer until I emailed them) to directly connect ‘GoBlu’ to iPhone for its best sound quality. Even for other Sources with Bluetooth you need specific ones that can stream out ‘LDAC’ codec which would give the best wireless resolution. I say, just skip this device if you plan to use an iPhone as your main music source.. if you’re fine with having to buy/use a usb adapter/connector then it’s kinda worth checking out. The sound quality is pretty good when you’re playing at it’s maximum resolution. Best thing about this is it’s portability(small & light) and battery life / charge time(fast w/ appropriate type-c charger). My ... Love this thing, trades Bluetooth quality for compact portability. It drives IEM's with ease, the 4.4mm drives over ear headphones. Has bass and treble boost, some cheap IEM's "wake up" using either or both.My car has a AUX input, so the Go blu is great for playing the 2,000+ FLAC songs from my phone.I wish iFi had a better travel case, for the belt. I am using a kydex 1911 magazine carrier, can't reach the buttons, but it's protected and stays on my belt.It works as a DAC as well, but I had to lower the computer volume to 1, yes one out of one hundred.

The Go blu is great for portable use. It matches well with myLETSHUOER S12 Pro IEMs. It has a livelier sound than DAPs I've used. I use my Pixel 7 running Plexamp. I connect using LDAC to the Go Blu. Then I use a Balanced connection from the Go blu to my IEMs. I've experienced no Noise/hiss using the balanced connection. If you're concerned about the no clip issue B&H sells iFi's Go blu leather case with the integrated clip. I've also tried the Go blu with easy to drive headphones and it did fine. I haven't tested the bluetooth distance, but with the phone near me I never loose conections. I have rarely noticed a skip but since I'm streaming music from my NAS to Plexamp on my phone, then using bluetooth to the unit, who's to know what causes that. It might even be ... I was in need of a BT/dongle dac after being forced to give up my LG phone :(. The Fiio BTR5 seemed like the no-brainer option. For me, it was just too fussy with the app, tiny screen, and controls. Even charging it had a learning curve! So shelling out the extra money for the Go Blu was my second option. I'm very glad that I did. The form factor, controls, and simplicity are definitely a better fit for my daily needs. I did like the sound and lower noise floor of the BTR5. The sound quality of the Go Blu is just as good as the BTR5, and I only noticed the higher noise floor when comparing the two back to back. The main reason for losing one star here is the price. However, I am more inclined to try more ifi products in the future. Hope this helps.
The iFi GO blu replaced a much larger and heavier portable Bluetooth DAC that was great in its day a few years ago, and is more versatile in terms of supported file formats than the GO blu. But the newer tech of the GO blu sounds better both with Bluetooth and when hard wired -- so much so that you will question whether you need file resolution beyond 24-bit/96kHz. Whether you do or not, the *quality* of file conversion is at least as important as the resolution of file conversion, and the quality of the GO blu for both Bluetooth and 24-bit/96kHz hard wired is excellent with IEMs (Etymotic) and efficient on-ear (Centrance) and over-ear (Austrian Acoustics) 'phones. I don't have any hard-to-drive headphones, so that may be a different story. I also do not listen to ... But pairing the GO blu with IEMs and streaming Qobuz is a no-brainer solution that I think you'll be very happy with. Battery life is also superb.
I have been a huge fan of portable DAC/AMPS ever since I started using FIIO BTR5 which have ruled this market segment until now. Although the BTR5s are a feature juggernaut as compared to these where you get much more control for fine tuning the sound at a granular level, the Ifi GoBlu emphasises on simplicity. No app, no confusing feature sets but pure powerful sound at your fingertips with minimal physical controls to fine tune. I love the Xbass that add just a touch of bass needed to change the entire spectrum of the music. I’m a typical metal head and I love these with my Hifiman Sundaras and my Audeze LCD 2cs, both of which are not easy to drive headphones. And the best of all is the volume knob which is a bliss to have which I really missed with the BTR5s. ... Overall a super tiny, light and powerful companion for your hard to drive audio gear featuring as good a sound as tbe BTR5s and even better with the addition of Xbass. And forgot to mention, Xspace is just mind blowing with QCODE podcasts.I love em. ❤️❤️
I always craved for audio gears which are as portable as they could be for my evening walks. This dac fits easily in my jeans watch pocket.Unlike the other bt dacs, this one has no screen and no app. However, the minimal and Intuitive approach is what i always gravitated towards like the feedback from the volume knob and the distinguishable button placement. It sounds relaxed but doesn't miss out on details. I really can't comment on the technicals because I don't own a flagship iem yet but I love the subtle sub bass boost that the xBass gives. Works well with my simgot ea500.Some reviews did mention about the noise floor on the 4.4mm termination, tbh, I didn't notice any. Could be because my iems aren't very sensitive. The bitrate is limited to 24-bit/96khz ... MoreI always craved for audio gears which are as portable as they could be for my evening walks. Also, the pricing could've been better because it's a simple dac which works well but definitely not a jaw dropping one for sure.
This is a very high class DAC with both pentacon (4.4) and S- (3.5) balanced output options. Very user friendly and plug-and-play Bluetooth pairing. Pretty smooth, hardly any disturbance in connection.Good quality speakers/ earphones really blossom. I listened through smartphone streaming and now trying full OS (windows 11, Realtek audio). The difference is noticeable. Full OS has much more resources.
Im really happy with my purchase! This little fellow is convenient to use, has great sound, strong signal (haven't had any lags so far) and is tiiiny. I agree with other reviewers that it's pricey especially since it doesn't have an app, but compared with pricier Lotoo Paw2 (yes, it's not a Bluetooth amp, but I'm talking about sound) it's incredible and loud enough without a need to put 60-70% volume on it.I wish they'd made a case for it though, because that little bag is a bit... out of place here. And you can't clip the device on clothes, so I always need pockets on me haha. But overall, I really like the device. Haven't tried all of it's functions yet, but as a newbie audiophile I love it straight from the box.Recommend it to everyone looking for Bluetooth ...
