IK Multimedia iKlip 3 Universal Mic Stand Mount For Tablets

Very pleased with the quality of this tablet holder. The design allows for a variety of mounting choices. In my case I wanted the tablet closer to my aging eyes. Worked out great. The grip is strong enough to hold a 10.1" Samsung tablet from the sides with no fear of the tablet falling out. The design of the grip is deep enough to hold a tablet in a 'armored' case. Absolutely the bEst solution I've seen so far. Would highly recommend.

Very disappointed as I read that the iklip1 was quite good. The red rubber part is not quite soft and scratches my iPad. Although it holds up well on my stand, I tried to tighten the middle connection and my iPad keeps tilting....Definitely not happy for the price I paid for....

I am happy with my 'IK Multimedia iKlip3 - Shipping was super fast. My only observation: all the pieces are plastic, I want to understand that perhaps they did it to ease the weight on the microphone support. But the rest is fine.

A quality product really well thought out

I was looking round for a product to support an I pad on a stand as I was needing a stable mounting platform. I initially considered the previous model to the one I eventually purchased which is the latest version. I’M not disappointed the build quality is great and it is built to last. No hesitation in recommending this product.

Doesn't do what it says it does

I have an iPad 7 which is a 10.2 inch screen. Made a 30 minute drive to guitar center so I could physically look at the options available. This one came recommended by the sales staff. Read the box. It clearly says works without removing the case. I mounted onto my mic stand, put my iPad in the holder, and it fell out the first time I touched it. Fortunately it was not very high off the ground. Double check to make sure I was putting it in properly, and I am. With my OtterBox case on my iPad, the clip is not wide enough to grab hold of the iPad securely. Poor design! Just a few more millimeters on the holder would make all the difference. Probably would work without my OtterBox case, but who has time to takeoff the case every time you need to mount the iPad?

Much improved and sturdier than the IKLIP 2

The IKLIP 3 is much improved over the IKLIP 2 which I also currently own. Seems much more durable and the connections are more rugged. Also has several positions (360 degrees) that the IKLIP 2 did not have. The ipad fits secure in the new spring loaded holder. It can rotate to all positions. I like it!

Not great. Limited angles for display.

Only works for specific angles, not enough rotation. if attached to the boom, the screen is practically facing the floor. if you try to adjust the screen angle, the ball pops out of the grip. Plastic feels shoddy. I liked the red piece that holds the device, but the available positioning is VERY limited.

Only works when Ipad is not in a protective case

I have 3 different Ipad cases, and none of them work with this IKlip. They didn't make it deep enough. Works great if you don't keep your Ipad in a case, or if you don't mind taking your Ipad out of your case each time you want to mount it.

Too small/tight for iPad Pro 12.9

I purchased this after reading it would fit the iPad Pro 12.9 model. Even with a thin case, it's very tight and too small. I would recommend this for smaller tablets. It seems like a good tablet holder; just not for the largest iPad Pro models.

Work great with my 12.9 iPad Pro

I bought this to hold my 12.9 iPad Pro while I play keyboards and it works great. The iPad stays in whatever position in need it. I've used it both holding the iPad vertically and horizontally and it works equally as well. The clamp that holds it to the mic stand is very sturdy. It even opens wide enough to clamp it to my laptop stand which is much thinker than a microphone stand. Overall it's a great piece of kit that works as advertised. I'm very happy with it.
