I had purchased one years ago and it’s still in use and looks new. I purchased 2 more to sit on a metal shelf 24 inches wide. They fit nicely, leaving enough room on either side to reach the handles and pull out. My friend saw them on my shelf and said how much she liked them too.

I love this, because not only is it functional, it reminds me of the “restore basket” produced by MUUTO which retails for $119-$149. With Besta, you get nearly the same look at a fair price. Thanks IKEA

I literally can't count how many of these I have. I've got them in the living room with my BESTA cabinets to hold video game stuff. I like the grey tweed boxes with labels better for DVDS and BluRay, but these are awesome for corralling charge cords and remotes and controllers and the little accessories. I also have two on the bottom shelf of my antique coffee table -- one for magazines and the other for fidget toys. The felt protects the coffee table and keeps the toys from clattering when you pull them out -- which is perfect when someone's already anxious, or if you need a fidget during a movie or something. I also have them all over my 12 deep IVAR cupboards. They hold: coloring supplies for the kiddos (no more pencil marks on everything, and crayons falling ... Like I said, I use them pretty much everywhere. Because they are soft, they don't scratch what they're on, and they don't make any noise pulling them out and putting them away. They're a great size for sheet sets you want to keep together, for magazines, for toys that go together, for bottles that needs to stay upright and you don't want to drip on a surface, pretty much everything.

Gotta bunch of these for my wife's new closet. They fit the depth of the shelves perfectlyThe felt-like cloth construction is perfect for her use as she expressed concern that the bins not wear/scratch the finish from pulling them out and replacing them. The only real concern is there is definitely an upper limit to the weight limit they can hold, fortunately we are using them to contain items that aren't heavy
I actually use these in my kitchen cupboards as pull out storage. Have had 3 that are still going strong after 3 yrs so bought more. Work a treat as they slide out effortlessly AND help dampen cupboard 'noise' in a carpetless house.
I first saw the nifty BESTÅ Box when my family and I were shopping for bookcases (how we do love our BILLY Bookcases!). The majority of us are gamers and I wanted a safe spot to corral the devices and associated wiring. The felted box is the perfect place for our electronics to sit while not in use or while charging. The BESTÅ keeps everything together and neat. It’s a darn fine box.
We love them. Have ordered several times. Look very nice on our shelving. Works well for storing our paperwork, drawings and misc items. Sometimes a cat will take a nap in one!
These are fabulous to store fabric & wool in my cutting table cubes. I can easily see what is in them & they pull out with a handle. I wish I could afford more, but they are a bit pricey for what they are.
Small boxes do not fit into small drawers as expected. We use for storing CD’s as well as DVD’s. they do not fit in to be able to read titles from the front. Have to fit the CD’s side on, and read from the side. Also cannot take them out loaded with things, have to assemble in the drawer to start with, then take the drawer out to take out box. First time for us for this product, maybe doing it wrong, not sure
I'm a "spreader" type of organizer with multiple projects at a time. File cabinets are too out of sight / out of mind. Desktop storage fills up immediately. These stack-able lightweight boxes are perfect.
