Best Laundry Drying Rack Ever

I would recommend it to everyone and will buy it again and again whenever I need another one!I bought this for the first time in 2016 and it lasted through many moves, being stored under a couch in an RV, and being used outside in the Arizona heat/sun for 6 YEARS!! After 3 years of regular use being stored inside then 3 years of being stored outside, the coating on the rack finally started to chip and fall off. I looked at tons of racks on Amazon at 3-4X the price of this one and just couldn't justify the price (and those racks were all smaller). This one gives you TONS of drying space, collapses down for super slim and lightweight storage, and the price is amazing for the quality. As far as drying space, I can fit a huge load of laundry on here. It has all the space you need.

My old clothes dryer broke and I was looking for a replacement. I couldn’t find a good one anywhere unless I paid $60 for it. This was recommended by a friend and I really like it. It’s actually better than my old one and the price is great. I have much more drying space and I can organize it how I like - for just a few clothes or a whole wash load if k want.

Holds a lot, but not for long
19 February 2023

Holds a full load of washing as long as they are light items but it's so flimsy it creaks and bends if items other than underwear and t-shirts are put on it. Fortunately I have other racks where I can put heavier items. There is no way this would be able to cope with 3 pairs of jeans and two bath towels at the same time. For the price, it's incredibly poor value as it's not robust enough for the load it is able to hold. It won't be long before the legs start to bow, and they will bow. But it offers me a convenient additional area so items are not too crowded on my existing rack.

I use this almost everyday
29 January 2023

I don’t like to dry my clothes straight from the washer to dryer. I feel like it shortens the life of the fabric. Since I live in California where the weather is pretty sunny most of the year, I like to dry my clothes outside first and then fluff them up in the dryer. It also saves on gas costs since I’m using the dryer for a shorter length of time. I purchased my first Frost more than 5 years ago and decided to add a second one. The quality is just about the same as my first one. I can dry one load of laundry on one rack. The size is also excellent for drying sheets and blankets. It’s something I use almost everyday since I do a load of laundry a day (it’s never ending!)

Less sturdy than my old one
11 March 2024

I was disappointed that my replacement for an old favorite was so flimsy by comparison. It is still a great laundry rack, but it appears that the wire has been made thinner and therefore it is slightly less robust. Also there were flaws in the rubber coating, but for the price I will use replace it sooner than my old one…in 8 years rather than 10. This rack never leaves marks on your clothing like wooden racks and it is infinitely adjustable for my needs. It is just less sturdy than the previous model.

Love this thing!
3 July 2023

I've bought a few over the years - they last! Only now after about 5 years is some of the white plastic coming off after constant use... but the frame is still fine so can be used! The design is super simple and effective. Its all connected - so it doesn't fall apart like others! I do not know why any would be designed in separate pieces, but this is all connected, one piece, you can have one or both arms raised, folds right down and stores great. Great size and can fit two loads of wash easily hanging items on two rungs. For the price it's the best one out there for sure.

Surprisingly high value item

Well built with no obvious failure points (no plastic parts - 100% coated steel construction).Light weight. Quick and easy setup from folded to fully opened and a very large capacity for hanging clothes. It has two horizontal wings for its main hanging space but the many additional bars across the width of the supporting brackets and four diagonal legs provide ample more space than what this rack may appear to provide. I was worried that having all widthwise hanging bars with no longer ones may limit its capacity for hanging towels but it turned out to be wide enough for bathroom towels and jeans pants. In my experience this clothes drying rack has more than enough room for hanging a full load of clothes with enough space between them to allow for sufficient air ... MoreWell built with no obvious failure points (no plastic parts - 100% coated steel construction).Light weight. Very Poorly Made
27 March 2024

One of the welded connections came loose literally the first time we tried using it. We tried Krazy Glue to repair it, but it doesn't look promising. Even if the Krazy Glue works, the customer shouldn't have to repair a brand new Ikea item. And yes, I realize that Ikea has a return policy, but it is such a trek to get to Ikea with public transportation that their return policy might as well not exist. I wouldn't recommend this product to anybody. In fact, it's reached the point that I wouldn't recommend Ikea to anybody either. The prices are up and the quality is down.

love it, but the coating is flaking off
20 February 2024

I've gotten a lot of use out of this drying rack, but the coating is flaking off the metal. Without the coating, the rods are thin enough to drop through the wire loop-ends and the rack falls apart.I would love to own a drying rack with a similar A-frame design but without the flaky coating. Stainless steel?I wish I could return this to IKEA so that they could autopsy and recycle it.
