I bought this bed two years ago and while I appreciate its aesthetics, the functionality of the drawers has been problematic. The drawers tend to break easily, so avoid placing heavy items in them. Additionally, aligning the drawers when reinserting them is quite challenging, almost like parallel parking—precision is crucial. The wood base and ladder also pose issues; when moving the bed to change the sheets, the ladder often falls due to its loose construction.I would recommend this bed only if you’re prepared to reinforce the drawers with a strong adhesive like Gorilla Glue and find a way to stabilize the wooden ladder, either with additional glue or another solution.

Hi, this product is a real crapt. DO NOT BUY. I assemble correclty and despite that the bed collapse. The leg of the bed damage my new wodden floor on a cost of over 1000 EUR. IKEA has rejected my claim saying that I overload and I'm 65 kg. Crazy. I got zero refund and I have to pay over 1000o SEK damage of the floor and buy a new bed. I'm really disappointed how I got treated and I have been waiting over 2 month with sleeping on floor and mattress waiting for someone to come and look and make this conclusion. I will never buy a bed here any longer

Bought this double bed and got it delivered. Put our new Sealy double sized mattress on it and it doesn't fit - the area for the mattress isn't big enough for what is a standard "non IKEA" double mattress. Should be clearly stated on description that standard sized double mattresses may not fit. Now we're stuck with a bed that's too small for the mattress and no way of returning it. Hugely disappointing.

We bought the twin Gladstad for our 4 year old daughter and I have to say it is a nice looking bed. The headboard cover is a light neutral grey so it is easy to match with different bed linens.I do have doubts about the long-term durability of the bed and I have to subtract a star because the headboard cover is not washable or replaceable, and I wish it was made of a natural material like linen (but obviously that is a lot to expect for this price point).
Bed squeaks like anything. Tried everything, tightening screws loosening screws, lubricating slats, putting something between them and the frame to reduce friction and nothing has worked. I would absolutely not recommend the storage either as the fronts of the drawers come detached with use (drawers used weekly, two weekly, and every few months are all falling apart). I have had to use extra fixings and glue to repair the drawers. I bought this bed in Spring 2022 and it has been a complete nightmare and is falling apart as of Oct 2023.
Such a good frame! Supportive, doesn't squeak at all, and a very simple assembly process. Anyone who says this bed squeaks made a very avoidable mistake in either placing the slats wrong or didn't attach the frame to the screws properly. Upholstery is very soft and protects me from hitting myself on the sides. Not as low as it seems; I am using a LACK bedside table and it feels very nice, and it's still very comfortable to sit on. Would 10000% recommend!
The quality of IKEA furniture has deteriorated over the last 6 years or so ever since they started using cheap quality hardware and materials. I know they are trying to be more sustainable, but sustainable doesn't have to equal 'cheap'. This bed is no different. The bed started squeaking after only 2 months of use and one of the drawers near the headboard tore a hole in the material lining the underside of the bed. And the drawers? They're a total mess all on their own. After only three months, the front panels of two drawers fell off so easily with such gentle use. I exchanged two drawers for two new ones. Even while carefully assembling the new drawers, the fasteners cracked and broke because they're made of cheap plastic, and for some reason there is a huge gap ... MoreThe quality of IKEA furniture has deteriorated over the last 6 years or so ever since they started using cheap quality hardware and materials. They're a total mess all on their own. After only three months, the front panels of two drawers fell off so easily with such gentle use. I exchanged two drawers for two new ones. Even while carefully assembling the new drawers, the fasteners cracked and broke because they're made of cheap plastic, and for some reason there is a huge gap between the front panel and the two side pieces of one of the drawers. I resorted to fixing the drawers on my own by installing brackets to secure the front panels, which is very effective at holding them in place.
Unfortunately my review for the combined pieces is tainted by the extremely poor quality of the drawers. We have had this for less than 3 months and the drawers have completed broken apart. It started with the drawer front becoming detached with basis use and then just this weekend all 4 casings of the drawer box completely broke apart as I was pulling them out.As other users have said this is extremely poor quality and not up to the standards of other Ikea bedding furniture.Although the other drawer hasn't broken, I will be returning both and exchanging for another under bed storage option.
After two times pulling, one of the drawer's front board detached from the other parts. Now, I cannot use that drawer anymore as it cannot be fixed. So I stopped using the other drawer also, thinking that the same thing would happen to it. I guess the space for two drawers is not enough. So they hold each other and then tend to detach the front board when we pull the drawer out. Because the other one holds this drawer when we pull. Designers must think how easy it is to pull. Better to have some separation between the two.
this thing is totally overpriced - I've had it for less than a year and it already is wobbly and making noises every time I sleep on the bed (my 5'3 self). The fabric looks nice but EASILY stained by your hair or anything. DO NOT BUY THE MATCHING UNDERBED DRAWERS - a huge waste of money: first of all, the queen-sized drawers don't fit under Queen sized bed, and secondly they break like A SECOND because they're so cheaply made, I had to throw the drawers out within a month. Impossible to return because of the huge hassle of bringing all the pieces back. Worst purchase ever.
