IKEA - GOSIG Golden Soft Toy, dog/golden Retriever 70 cm

My kid didn’t love plush toys until we got this one. Now it goes wherever we go! It’s super soft and cuddly but what I love most is how realistic it looks. It’s not just another toy, it actually looks like a real dog. It’s made of durable material, which is great because we have to wash it once in a while and it still holds up perfectly. It’s been through a lot of playtime and still looks as good as new. Definitely a favorite in our house!

A Golden Pup

A lovely stuffed doll - i got this for my wife, who is scared of dogs but loves stuffed toys. Very very nice cuddly toy. ;-) Almost makes me miss having a real pup.Recommend it for anyone who wants a puppy without any of the responsibilities that go with it.

A Total Favorite

Our rescue German Shepherd loves this sweet toy so I just bought two more for Christmas. He is fairly gentle with these soft wonders but when small holes develop where he is overzealous, I sew then rebuy. Same with the big Goldens - we always have at least two of each. They wear well, even in the jaws of a GSD, are soft & fluffy, & remarkable for the price. Thanks, Ikea!! These & the bigger versions are our Rafa's (named after tennis wonder Nadal) favorites.

Golden baby!

Honestly, my golden retriever, Clementine, cannot live with out gosig golden who we call 'Fluffy'! All other toys have been forgotten and we are now on Fluffy #6. But, despite having six that has spanned over 3.5 years and most of them are still in rotation. I highly recommend this comforting plush toy to anyone who has a golden baby. Dogs are the greatest! Grandsons best buddy

My almost 4 year old grandson had this since he was a baby. It recently unfortunately was thrown out of the car by his little brother. He was so sad. I thought let’s just order him a new one. Made up a little story it came in like two days they were going on a trip And he was the happiest little guy ever

Great Dog for a Dog!

I thought this toy was cute and got it when my golden puppy was the exact same size. He had sharp puppy teeth back then so I wasn’t expecting this plushy to last long but I couldn’t resist the low price. And boy was I wrong! I’m astonished at the built and quality. 4 months later it is still intact even tho my pup plays with it daily and he tends to destroys every other toy I buy him. Since then I have bought it him two more ikea plushies. If i could give 6 starts I would! Great quality!

LOVE these softies

Our German Shepherd Rafa LOVES these Goldens (along with the really big ones. He received 2 this size & 2 big ones for Christmas (still has three other big & 3 small from before). This gentle dog rarely rips anything, just runs around carrying them (knocking everything over) but if he gets a small hole going, I just sew them up. These new ones will keep him occupied for weeks. The price is right, they're beautifully soft & cuddly, & he's one happy dog. Thanks, Ikea!!

My daughter is still obsessed 2.5 years later…

When my daughter about 1 she picked up this stuffed guy and wouldn’t let him go. Years later… that’s her FAVORITE stuffed animal. She makes sure she has it before leaving anywhere… there was a close “lost” scare and they were sold out of these…. We luckily found it a few weeks later… but even a back up wont suffice at this point. She has turned this stuffed “pup-pup” into her little rag doll!!

Support Dog

I purchased two of these dogs on Valentine's Day 2019. I then brought them to a senior citizen friend of mine (I'm not a senior :) Her beloved husband was in hospital and I wanted her to be able to bring him a Valentine's Day gift (she is in her late 80's, he in his early 90's). They'd been married for 69 years, rarely apart and used mobility walkers to get around. I suggested that we put a pretty blouse on one dog and sweater vest on the other (to add a familiar look and smell of each other). This way each of my friends could have a dog for comfort until they could be reunited. I imagine that when they were alone at night they could cuddle the dogs and also smell each other's familiar scent. The Best

I was given this dog plush three times in my life. First as a young child, I cherished him. Second right after my first dog passed away, I had buried the original with him. And for the third time in my last year of high school. We grabbed the last one off the shelf. I sat the two next to each other, one years older than the other, he had withstood the test of time and of an animal loving child who had him in their bed every night, hugged the fur so much that it looked completely different, yet more meaningful. A nice soft toy that can last you a lifetime.
