I have purchased quite a lot of these in the various styles.Being glass they hold their shape and don’t look so bad on the dinner table which makes for easy packing.You can put them in the feeezer but if it is something like a broth remember that water expands to ice so only 2/3rds fill.The lids form a nice solid airtight fit.Hopefully IKEA keeps with this product line.

Last fall, my partner and I bought dozens and dozens of these containers with the matching bamboo lids to redo our entire walk-in storage. They looked great! However, after a few months' use we discovered that they were not anywhere near air tight. Most of the things we stored in them went stale and were no longer edible. At first, I thought we might not be placing the lids on correctly, so I made an effort to ensure they were clean and on securely…but they still did not work. We continued to have to throw out food. After 9-10 months, I contacted IKEA to let them know that the containers that they recommended for dry storage were not actually keeping things fresh. They said it was outside the window for returns (90 days) and could offer no assistance. This is particularly frustrating because it takes longer than a few months for most dry goods to go bad and we made attempts to remedy the issue over the last 9-10 months ourselves. I don't recommend these as they do not keep food fresh.

I bought several packs of these for meal prepping and am so disappointed by how hard it is to snap the lids on. You have to press VERY hard down on the top of the lid to squish down the gasket enough to get the sides low enough to snap under the lip of the container, which then also simultaneously requires a ton of pressure from the sides. I am NOT a weak person by any means but my hands are in a lot of pain after trying to put lids on just 4 containers back to back. I absolutely regret buying these and wish I hadn't thrown out the receipt. I will be replacing them with a different product asap.
